2 Reservations and Dining Plan?

Hi! We have 2 reservations, 1st one is August 21st to 23rd Room Only. 2nd is August 23rd to 30th as a package with Quick Service Dining. Same hotel. I am assuming we cannot start using the dining plan until the 23rd correct?
