2 questions...

We are planning a trip to WDW for Dec.2010. How far in advance are we able to start reserving? I'd like to do this as soon as possible so that it is one BIG thing down and I can focus on the other details.

The second question is about the codes. If I were to book a room and then found a code that would apply to my reservations, can I call or have it applied?

You can book 500 some odd (note sure of the exact number) days in advance. But I have booked that far ahead even with a TA. When discounts codes come out and or AAA yes you will be able to apply them.

You can make a reservation 499 days in advance of your last night at the resort. You will be charged a one nights deposit based on the current years peak rate for the resort. At the 499 day point they do not always open all room categories at all resorts, so if you have a particular kind of room in mind, it may not be available 499 days in advance.

This may be a dumb question, but are you locked at that rate or are the rates subject to change? If I book now for 2010, will my rate be the 2008 rate or will they change it?

The rate will be adjusted once the real rates are released.
