1. I understand that if you are on the Dining Plan, your CS & TS credits are supposed to be good until midnight on the day you check-out. Well, that did not work out for us last year. On the day we checked out, I was able to use CS credits @ ~1PM, but was denied my TS credits @ ~8PM. Between these two times, we had already checked into our next Disney Hotel (Pop Century). Have they since corrected this problem so that it does not happen again when I need to due the same thing this coming April '07?

2. When you sit down for a TS reservation and your child is not very hungry (i.e. the little one is only 3), can you opt to just use 2 TS credits for the adults and save the 3rd TS for a later time?

I don't know if they've made a correction, but the fix for that is to have the restaurant manager contact the front desk of the resort you checked out of. They can easily straighten that out. Your server should have known that...or at least, should have known enough to ask one of the restaurant managers.

Sure.

To add more detail to the story, we finished our dinner @ 8PM. Our server did not know how to handle the situation and that is when the restaurant manager got involved. The restaurant manager tried contacting a manager @ Beach Club Villas (i.e. resort we checked out of earlier that morning); whom had just left for the night. Meanwhile the clock is ticking and my kids are so tired, they fall asleep at the restaurant table. In fact it is already 9:30PM, 90 minutes into this rediculous checkout procedure! Finally at 9:30PM he states all we can due is have you pay with a credit card and I can try to straighten things out tommorrow morning followed by a credit to your card. At this point, I am furious considering we had plans to due something else during the 90 minutes and take advantage of our 6 remaining snack credits. This whole experience was such a disaster, we just had to say mercy and take the kids back to the room for some much needed rest.

I am hoping some others read this post and can provide how this experience will be avoided in the future?

wow...I wonder if this is because you had checked into your other hotel? That would be EXTREMELY frustrating! Did they ever get it straightened out, or did you just end up paying OOP for the meal?

Well, it's not actually my solution! It's Disney's solution to Disney's problem. But the info I gave you is correct. The only way to get it resolved is through the front desk of the resort you stayed at.

Something's not right with what you were told. There is always a manager on duty (24 hours a day) at any Disney resort. I'm sorry you had the problem you had, but it should have been easily resolved -- others have been.

In addition to correcting the problem the next day (I assume they did), they should also have done something to compensate for the 1 1/2 hours of inconvenience. Anyone with small kids knows the difference 90 minutes makes that time of night!

Making their problem your problem is rotten customer service, and they should make it up to you.

That's correct.

Most indications are yes, but there are some indications that the answer either is or soon will be no. I'm currently working my way up the ladder to verify this, but if you want a definitive answer now, contact Disney and see if you have any better luck than I have. (Please be sure to let us know how that works out.) wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com
