Hi everyone - I have a couple questions.
We are *hoping* to make it back to WDW at some point this spring. Our budget will let us stay in a moderate resort - I have already been at CSR & POR Riverside, and would like to try something new. Does anyone have a preference between CBR & POR:FQ?
We had been considering renting a car but some thrifty DISers convinced me otherwise - it would be really great if we could find a bus schedule of sorts to explain where the resort buses go. That could help our resort decision - I am trying to figure out how to get from either resort to downtown disney, the four parks, and fantasia gardens, as we'd like to visit all those places on our trip.
Any info would be great. Thanks! :goodvibes

Both CBR and POR:FQ have their fans - you can't go wrong with either. We've stayed at CBR and had a rental car to get back and forth from the airport. The car never moved once we got to CBR. The bus service was excellent. Buses run to each of the four parks, DTD, and the water parks every 15-20 minutes on no particular schedule - just wait for the bus for the destination you want. I'm not sure about Fantasia Gardens, having never been there . I'm sure someone else can help with that.

to get to Fantasic gardens - you can take the buses to any of the Epcot resorts - BW/BC/YC/D/S

then walk over to the D/S - it is across the street from the Dolphin.

or you can ride a bus to Studios (mgm) then take the boat - get off at the first stop (d/s) then walk across to Fantasic garden

either way works.

if you are relying solo on buses I would go with Pop Century. I loved their buses. the longest wait I had there was around 15 minutes for the mK. most buses were there in 10 to 5 minutes.

now if you want a hot tub, slide, that type of stuff - you can rent points from a DVC member for around the price of a moderate.
