Is there a spot at DL that you can have them give you a gift card with your disney visa rewards points on it? Like at WDW you do it in downtown disney. Or not? :) Is there a spot for a free photo like wdw?

Also I thought I saw somewhere if you payed for you trip with a Disney Visa card you would get a free back pack?? Did i see that somewhere or not? lol

Don't know about the backpack, but I picked up a rewards card from just outside the gates to California Adventure. It seems to me that I had to then call Chase and have them add my Disney dollars (that couldn't be done when I picked up the card). But I definitely picked up the card somewhere in the resort.....Guest Services would be my guess.

The Disney Rewards Visa site has this info on it. I ordered my rewards card online but I know it said something about a customer relations window at the parks? And there is a place to get a free character photo too. If you can't find it, I will look. :) If you book a package through the Disney Rewards Visa people - and a number is listed for this - then you will get a backpack.

Here is the web page for the information: http://disneyrewards.disney.go.com/credit/themeparkperks.html#none

I think you can get it at city hall too.

I have booked our DL vacation every year with the Disney Visa and never gotten a backpack. How/where do you get it?:teacher:

I think you have to book directly with the Disney Visa travel agents to get the backpack, not w/disney & paying with your visa.

It doesn't have to be just the Disney Visa travel agents, I used my travel agent at CSAA (AAA)...I think it is called a ''Disneyland Resort Package" that quialifies for the backpack when you pay for the package with your Disney Visa.
Hopefully someone will know all the information for this ... jc

Well, I'll see. I booked a room only thru disney at GCH & will be changing it to a package in a few weeks. I always pay w/my disney visa & will ask about the backpack.

Great!! Thank you so much!! That is how it worked in WDW .. they gave me the card.. then I called and it took only a few mins for the points to go on.

I LOVE THE BACKPACK!!! However I booked right through disney, and paid in full with my card...but we booked at a good neighbor hotel. Does that make a differance? Is it only if you stay at a disney hotel? I hope not.. it's so cute!! :)

We just did this last week -- you can get the Disney Rewards card from Guest Services inside DCA (just inside the entrance). They will need to see your Disney Visa card and I believe your ID. You'll get an envelope with the card and instructions on how to activate it.
When you call to activate it -- the points will transfer for immediate use.

The free photo spot was right past Mike and Sully to the rescue -- it's outdoors -- not indoors the way it is in Epcot. Plus when we went the only character we had was pluto. (at epcot we've had the combo of goofy, mickey and pluto and the mickey/pluto).

You can so the free photo every day of your trip. And also, FYI, in the past they've allowed me to use the free 5 X 7 photo on ANY photopass picture I've wanted, not just one from that particular meet n greet.

Usually it's Pluto, but they rotate (I've been told) that the first 30 minutes is generally Plut, then Chip&Dale, then Pluto again. So that would mean 10-10:30 (on a 10 am opening day) then 10:30 to 11:00, then 11:00 - 11:30 (the meet n greet is only the first 90 minutes of the day, everyday)

I don't know WHEN YOUR TRIP IS, but check back before your trip if it's in September or later (I saw that because guest relations side of DCA entrance is going to be closing) so the pick up place for the Rewards Card may CHANGE fairly soon.

Does anybody know if you get the backpack still if you booked right through disney and paid in full with your disney visa but booked a good neighbor hotel.

Now that is an awesome backpack!! Too bad you don't get it if you book through Costco and use your disney visa :(

I would love to know this too. We just booked a vacation package with a good neighbor hotel and paid with our disney credit card.
Do i have to call and request a backpack? Do they automatically send it to me? Do I get it somewhere in the park?
Thanks for any info on this!

I booked HoJo through the Disney website, with my Rewards Visa and the packet that I received says:
"park hopper, magic morning, Mickey's morning madness, pin & lanyard, preferred CA seating, character calls." with no mention of the backpack.
I clicked the link from the Chase Rewards Visa, to book the package through Disney, and the webpage said I would received the Dreams Backpack, but no mention of it on my paperwork.

Does anyone know how you actually get the backpack? Do they mail it to you or do you pick it up in the park?
Thanks,

Some help here...if you booked the package with your Disney CC and the backpack is not listed on your reservation confirmation...you need to call the number from the disney rewards website...http://disneyrewards.disney.go.com/credit/themeparkperks.html#none
(click on Park Perks-Disneyland Resort to find the phone number)
give them your reservation number and they will be able to put the code for the backpack on your package.

Hope this helps...jc

You will pick-up the backpack at the park...it is not mailed.

I called and spoke with the customer service team as suggested above, and the gentleman told me that the backpack should be listed on the travel documents that come in the mail, 21 days before departure. He said it is not always listed on the reservation invoice that I received after initial purchase. So I guess I have to wait until early November to see if its on there.
Thanks for the help.
