LOL... what a combo, right?? LOL

My DD is finally mastering BM's on the potty and I promised her Ariel panties if she was successful. She has been doing great for a week now, so I guess its time for me to pay up. Someone told me Walmart usually carries them, but I was wondering if anyone knew for sure? We don't want mixed princess packages. It has to be strictly Ariel.

Also, I heard somewhere that you can purchase replica viking helmets/hats in Epcot. Does anyone know if this is true? If so, where? Norway?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

I don't remember the price, but you can buy helmets and foam shields/swords/axes in Norway.

Walmart does carry strictly Ariel undies for girls. My baby girl is 5 and picked a pack with Ariel in it. I brought two packs, one for now and one for when she grows out of those. They happenbed to be on sale. My walmart was fully stocked when I went in on Saturday.

THANK YOU ALL!

I have to go to Walmart later to pick up a prescription for my DS so while I am there I will bring my DD back to let her get her panties.

Both of my DS have been asking for viking helmets for christmas for years, and for some reason, they have never gotten them. I thought it might be cool to finally get them for them in Epcot. Kind of a two-for-one gift! :)

Thanks again!

I bought Ariel panties (3 pack of just Ariel) at Target but it was a few years ago. I could only find Ariel in size 4T and above at the time. DD was wearing 2T/3T and the 4T ones were a little baggie but not too bad. My purchase was a reward for potty training success as well.

I know this isn't disney related, but living in New Jersey, you should keep an eye out for Scandinavian festivals - there are plenty to choose from!

Two that come to mind are:
17 of May festival/parade in Brooklyn, NY (not in NJ, but close)
Scan Fest on Labor Day weekend in Budd Lake, NJ

I KNOW there are more - I just can't think of them off the top of my head... Anyway, lots of these have vendors that sell the helmets, etc.

(BTW - I'm involved in a historical educational group that teaches about viking culture, and we do go to schools and festivals in NJ, DE, MD, NY, PA, OH, etc... We have a 40' replica viking ship we can tow around! :) www.vikingship.org)

My daughter got some Ariel ones from her grandmother, which I believe were from Kohl's. They were a big hit with my daughter and strictly Ariel.

HTH.

There are two types of helmet in Norway. I don't remember the exact price but do remember that a set with the sword, helmet and shield was going to cost in the range of $50. There is also an axe. I have photos of them if you want to see them. I took pics of my kids attacking the giant gnome while wearing them.

They also have a knight's sword shield and helmet in England. With two diferent versions of the set.

That is such a great achievement for your little girl. I really hope she enjoys her prize of Ariel panties and keep Ariel dry and clean.

and on a side note, I hope you enjoy finally being done with diapers after all these years. My little princess at 7 hasn't quite fully managed to be out of them during the day all the time yet, but we are getting close. It is really nice when she is using the toilet and I don't have BM diapers to change. Enjoy the achievement and her leaving one more baby thing behind as she grows up.

Thanks so much everyone!

My Mom actually picked up a package of Ariel panties for her yesterday and brought them over. She was proudly wearing them today and made sure she did her BM in the potty before naptime! We are so proud!

teachallday... my oldest son had problems wetting the bed until the third grade. Have you asked the pediatrician about your DD still having daytime accidents? There may be a medical cause for it. I hope she is able to master it soon!

The reasons for my little princess princess: to still be in diapers at the moment at 7 years old is not really medical but cognitive skill level. She has some Developmental Delays and still functions at a Preschooler level.

For example she has just recently started pretend play. All this week her Mickey doll who she is sleeping with and taking to the store with us, has had to go in and get its teeth brushed too at bedtime. It is really cute watching her immagination and pretend play develop. I am sure your DD at 2 has her dolly that she pretends to take care of. Well my little one just took a little longer to reach that stage, now 7 1/2, but it is still just as cute. We have success with toileting and we have set backs. At the moment she is in diapers, so we are in a set-back but hopefully we will be back to panties before the Disney trip in August.

I think all children take a while to master a new skill, no matter what their level of function might be. Your DD is lucky to have an understanding and patient Mom, such as yourself. :) I am sure with your positive attitude and love she will be back in those panties in no time! Especially if she has a goal, like doing it before such a special event, like a trip to WDW!

Good luck to you.
