Hi Everyone!

I know I've read about this on here before, but now I can't seem to find the thread(s)....

I have a letter from my title company confirming that my resale contract closed on May 25th (two weeks tomorrow). :goodvibes I have an existing DVC membership and have been checking online to see if the new contract was loaded in, but so far it's just my original contract. Background:

  • I have an existing contract at BLT with a Sept UY
  • I purchased a resale contract at BWV with a Feb UY
  • We had the resale contract titled exactly the same as our first contract
  • I understand I will have two different member numbers and two different contract numbers, one for each of the above
  • [to pre-empt any replies, I know that I cannot combine points until the 7-month mark, etc.]
Somehow I thought that even though I have these different membership numbers and different contracts, I would still be able to access them both through the same online account since they were titled the same way. Is this true? Or do I need two different online accounts? :confused3

Second question: who do I call to ask about when my contract will be loaded into the system and when the points will be available? I started with Member Admin (this is who told me I would have to have two seperate online accounts), was transferred to Member Services, was transferred to Quality Assurance, and then got a voicemailbox. Instead of leaving a message, I thought I'd post here in case I am following the wrong trail.

Thanks in advance for any help!

If the contracts are titled the same, you will be able to see both memberships from one log in screen. You will just have to choose which membership you want to access from a drop down menu.

As for your second question, personally I wouldn't call anyone. This step of the process typically takes up to two weeks, but you should know that there are people who are working on it. I would only call if two weeks have passed and you haven't seen anything. In that case there might be something that is holding up the processing of your membership (as in Missyrose's case where there was a missing page of a document). Otherwise, I would let the system do its job. I'm guessing that might not be what you want to hear, and I'm sorry if that's the case. I'm sure somebody else will post with advice that is possibly more practical. :)

Thanks, ELMC!
I don't mind waiting - I know it can take a few weeks to get things into the system. I mostly just want to see and be sure everything is reflected accurately. If I get to the end of next week (3rd week) without seeing anything on my online account for the second contract, anyone know who/where I should call?
Thanks for the info that it should be ONE login with then the option to select which contract I want to work with. That was how I thought it worked, and I am hopeful that it really will turn out that way; not what the woman at Member Administration told me, but maybe she was misinformed.

I closed last week and I did call Member Administration already - just to see what the process for next steps will be. I was told that I should call back next Tuesday to get my new member ID # and then I needed to call Member Services to get a new on-line account. The person I spoke to (the reviled Tammy ;)) seemed to think I needed a 2nd log-in account because I will now have 2 different use years. I didn't argue with her. Long story short OP - I think you wouldn't have any problem with calling Member Administration today. Even Tammy suggested only waiting 7 business days from my closing to call, so you might already be all set.

Unless DVC misses that you have another membership you will be able to access both under the same login. When I purchased a second UY it just showed up on my sign in without my doing anything.

I called Monday and was told they were working on contracts from 5/25 at that time.

Sometimes Disney screws up and doesn't load the contracts as expected. MS can search by your SSN and that will allow them to see if the new contract is loaded yet.

Hi all, OP here with a quick update:
I checked my online account again today and my contract and points are there now. Yay! It is exactly as I thought (which is counter to what someone at MA told me yesterday) that both contracts appear on the online account I had established for my original, direct contract. No calling required, just patience! ;) It is very clearly marked in red at the top of the Vacation Points summary exactly when my banking window is for each contract and then below that there is a summary for each Member ID Number and within each it specifies the contract number, Use Year, remaining points, etc. Well-organized and clear-cut. I am so glad to be all set with this and good luck to everyone else still in the process!

That is good to hear. in the process of adding a different UY myself and would be upset if they werent together. I was originally going to look for same UY until i read on here that they would be under one login if contract was same name.
