I know I've read on here before that it is highly recommended that one wear a one-piece bathing suit at the waterparks. Does anyone have any experience wearing a two-piece?

Can a two-piece be worn on most of the water slides, but maybe avoid Summit Plummet?

I do have a swim suit that is more like a tank top & swim bottoms (tankini?), but it is still a 2 piece - can anyone give me any words of advice/encouragement? I'd love to be adventurous & maybe try out some waterslides this time - just don't want to get totally embarrassed on a slide. ;)

Thanks!

I saw on the summitt plummet in some disney book that the bottom of the slide is the one job most wanted by CMs working in the water park. It went on to say that on average once per hour a lady in a 2 piece gets out of the slide topless.

I always wear a two piece bikini at the water parks.

I can't go to florida and come back to dreary old england without a tan!

I also go on all the slides and do summit plummit, but i put a t shirt on over the top before i go on summit plummit. i can't remember about the other slides. I don't think i did on them but definately a t shirt over the top for summit plummit.

I have been to BB once and did not witness this. I could see how it can happen and would be prepared on the 2 big slides. I didn't get to ride it because I was there with my 6 yr old DS.

On a related note, what I did see but wish I didn't was an older gentleman get the wedgie of a lifetime when he rode Summit Plummit in a Speedo! Everyone and I mean everyone was getting off the ride adjusting their bathing suits.

Thanks for the speedy replies everyone! I certainly don't want to be the one without my top at the bottom of Summit Plummet! (Not even sure I'm brave enough to try it yet anyways. ;) )

I Love the idea of throwing on a t-shirt over my swim suit for the bigger slides. Didn't think of that before - I may need it if I'm getting too much sun anyways. ;)

Thanks again!!! :) :)

as a former lifeguard at Blizzard beach I can tell you that the slides to watch out for are Summit Plumit, Slush Gusher (the one right next to SP) and Toboggan Racers (the mat ride where you go back and forth between the gates, the splash into the catch pool will do it) :earseek:

I think any suit is game for the wedgie fun. My worry was more keeping my girls :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc where they belonged so I chose a one piece with a see-through fabric above the bust area so I got sun but they were trapped ! But on another note make sure your straps are secured well before you go....if you want have a little chuckle read this http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=509578

I also noted bleacher style seating built into the water at the end of one the big slides, I think at TL and there wasn't a seat to be had, and they were all men ! Lots of guys hanging at the end of the slides ;)

You may also consider wearing board shorts. At a (non-Disney) water park this summer, I snagged my suit bottoms on one of the slides and before I knew it I was walking around showing a teenie tiny bit of my touschie.

You should wear what ever you fell comfie in. If it is a string-bikini, do, just cross your arem have have fun with it. Who will see you that you know most people just don't care.

My wife has been in a few if the WDW pools in a nice g-string bikini and has had no problem. I don't think she would goto one of the water parks in this but she has been in a string-bikini that has triangels for a top and long string that tie for the bottom.

All I can say is have fun and don't care what other people do or say.

Hey, I always wear two piece to waterparks too. I haven't been to BB but I've been to TL and to Whitewater in Atlanta that has some rough rides and I've never lost my bathing suit, I usually do wear the tank top kind, I don't really see the difference between wearing one of those and wearing a one piece only about two inches of your stomach is showing anyway so how could it make much difference? i wouldn't worry about it.

I've been to both BB and TL in a two-piece, and not the tank-top kind, either. I require more umm... support than a one-piece or a tank-top kind requires. Underwires or else, if you know what I mean. Anyhow, I haven't lost my top, but I can see how it can happen. You're subjected to a lot of (water) pressure in directions that you aren't normally.

The t-shirt is a good idea if you are concerend. Even a tank top will cover any slippage.

At TL, I saw a gentleman get off of one of the speed slides and remove the biggest wedgie ever. Poor guy went from looking like he had on a speedo to looking like he had on board shorts. His son, probably 8 years old, came running up to join him from where he was waiting on the bleachers. He instantly became Wedgie Dad in our minds. Which, of course, meant that we had to run into Wedgie Dad and his son over and over again on every attraction at the park. The poor guy probably thought that we were making fun of him, but we kept thinking about that awful wedgie, and it made us laugh!
