I wonder why I couldnt find any Disney property when I did my search?
Either you don't have the trading power or nothing is available for your dates.
This September will be our third straight year exchanging, or trading, with RCI for a DVC. We'll be at a 2-bedroom at VWL...can't wait.
Thats great! So tell me do you just do food and tickets oop or is there an avenue you use for that?
Also, I am only finding that RCI does weekly rentals, do you ever do more than 1 week? We are doing 8 days so not sure what to do about the extra night?
I buy tickets from Undercover Tourist, with the MouseSavers discount. I pay OOP for food, because the dining plan does not fit my needs very well. If I have two trips in a calendar year, I get an AP and a Tables in Wonderland card.So tell me do you just do food and tickets oop or is there an avenue you use for that?
All exchanges are exactly one week. Most rentals are also one week, but they sometimes do 3-day and 4-day rentals. You could try to link an exchange/RCI rental with a straight cash reservation, but it may or may not work. If you rent the extra night from another DVC Member, I suspect you won't be able to link them easily: you won't "own" the one night stay, but the Member won't "own" your exchange/rental.Also, I am only finding that RCI does weekly rentals, do you ever do more than 1 week?
No, RCI is very clear about this. You may not accept *anything* of value (beyond the exchange fee and, if necessary, the guest certificate fee) for a deposited week, or a week you obtained in exchange.
I didn't think it was illegal to rent out weeks?
We just book a room at a value resort. Take your luggage to bell services on your last day and they will transfer it to the value resort for you. Very easy.
