I've purchased some 2-park power passes (the ones that have various black-out dates) over the internet. We will be arriving in Orlando on Saturday, April 26th, and visiting Universal and Sea World during the coming week. The Saturday we arrive is the last black-out date of Easter/spring break for our passes, but I'd like to go to the Universal that day to activate them so that we don't have to waste precious time the next morning taking care of this (I'm a firm believer in get there early to avoid the crowds). Will I be allowed to do this? And, does everyone have to be present to activate them?

Thanks in advance for your help!

If the pass needs to be converted to a picture ID, then everyone has to be there.
I'll guess and say your tickets won't work on that day, because the ticket processing center is in the park.
I feel the same way as you about wanting to get the pass activated Saturday afternoon. That's exactly what I did, arrived at 2pm March 29th, wait was about 30 minutes, got my pass, left, and came back Sunday morning.
If you're at the gate at 08:30am, it won't take long to process your pass. You fill out a form, they type the info into the computer, take your picture, print the cards, and you're done.
