2 packages, 1 deposit?

Called to cancel our May RO reservation and I asked the CM if I could rebook two packages for the fall with just one $200 deposit. She asked who I was booking for and I told her "my family, with 1 adult and 3 kids in one room and 1 adult and 3 kids in another room". She said it would be two deposits, so I thanked her and told her I will just rebook online.

I have heard of people doing this in the past, but honestly it could have been 2-3 yrs ago and I know things can change. But I also know some CMs don't know the rules for everything (I don't know if they route RO reservations and packages to different CMs). So, has anyone did this recently? Just wondering if I should even try calling back for another CM or just go ahead and book online.

I'm sure an agent could help you. I would call and ask to speak to someone else. But if it is just easier to book online do that too. Essentially you are booking two rooms under one package. So it depends on how they interpret the package and rooms.

Hi DisDadMatt. Sorry if my post was not totally clear, but I'm looking to see if anyone has recently booked two packages with one deposit (as opposed to two deposits). You can't do this online, but in the past others have had success by calling in their reservations. The CM I talked to said no, but sometimes CMs can give wrong info. I prefer to book online, so I only want to call back and talk to a diff CM if booking 2 packages with 1 deposit is still an option.
