Hi all,

We have twin boys and need to put them in pack and plays during our stay at WDW We also need two beds. Anyone have any experience with 2 pack and plays in a Mod. room? I know that it will be tight, but any others with previous experience that can offer their insight?? We have taken 2 p n p's to other hotels and it has worked fine, but I do not know the sq. ft. of those rooms. I really think the value room will be too small and we really cannot afford a deluxe this time. Really just looking for some imput. Thanks everyone!

Hi, Amy,
We have twins, too. I've stayed at the All Star with one pack n play, and that was WAY too cramped. I've stayed at Port Orleans Riverside, and I think you could fit two pack n plays in there, but it would be tight.
We stayed at the Dolphin this past week with two cribs (not pack n plays...) and there was plenty of room. Any chance that you or your husband have teaching certificates???? They have amazing rates for teachers, nurses, etc.
Good luck, and way to go bringing the twins. It was actually a really nice vacation overall!

I took my twins at 18 month and had 2 pack & plays at the CBR. It was tight, but we managed with it and our 7 year old at the time, and had a blast. Have a great time :)

tddalton,

For the Dolphin/Swan, I have a degree in education and my certification is up to date, but I am not teaching. Do you need to prove that you are teaching at the present time? Any advice?

All you need is a valid teaching certificate - no proof of a job is needed. I'm in the same boat as you completely!

We booked through Dreams Unlimited, and they were really wonderful.

If you need ANY suggestions, please let me know, ok?

Denise

Thanks tddalton,

My mom is a travel agent, so I will ask her to look into this for us! Thanks!

If you really need to stay at a moderate I'd recommend the Caribbean Beach. It's square footage is 340 per room, where as the others only have 314 sq ft per room.

Why not take out the center table and push the two beds together and closer to the wall. That will leave plenty of room for two pack and plays provided you are not at POR AB section and using the trundle bed. We have re-arranged the rooms several times at POR without any problems or complaints from the staff. At times we have put the chairs outside the door to make room for extra items we bought at the mall. Just a thought.

Don't worry, you'll have plenty of room. Where there is a will, there is a way! :D

Thanks Hawk!

I never even thought about rearranging the furniture. What a great idea. You are so right, where there's a will there's a way!!

We stayed at ASMovies just recently & had one pack-n-play but we moved the table & chairs in front of the window & put the pack-n-play against the wall where the table was (alongside the TV). If we needed to, we could have had an additional pack-n-play on the other side of the TV but I kept our overnight bag & our laundry there. It would have been manageable. The room can be as large or as small as you make it. It was fine for us.

BTW, at bedtime, we did scoot the pack-n-play right up to the foot of the bed so baby (2y/o) wouldn't be frightened of the diff surroundings.

Have a great time!! With twins I'm sure you'll enjoy your trip twice as much!! ::yes::

In 2001 we stayed at ASMU with our then 9 month old twins. We were able to put one pack-n-play on one side of the tv/dresser and the other pack-n-play fit on the other side of the TV. We unpacked clothes into the drawers and put our suitcases away (on the top shelf of closet area I think). We also brought large rubber sheet and covered the second bed with them and used that as a changing/dressing table. We really didn't feel cramped, and were even able to wheel their stroller into the room and keep it unfolded by the door (we had the same one that's in your picture). Of course we don't have any older children who needed the second bed, so that may be something you have to consider. I guess what I'm trying to say is that if we could fit in the smallest room on property, you should be fine in a moderate.

I can't speak for a mod with babies, but we stayed at AKL a month ago with 2 babies, 2 pack and plays, heck -- basically 2 of everything! I don't know the square footage of the resort rooms, but AKL is a deluxe and we stayed in a standard room there. Honestly, we felt we didn't have enough room to move around. But I tend to think that any standard resort room would feel too small when we're cramming 2 of everything in it! As someone above did, we also moved furniture around and made it work.
