2 or 6? Forward or Midship?

Opinions please....have a choice of Deluxe Oceanview Staterooms....midships on deck 2, or forward on 6. Have friends midship on 6...

Which would be better for "ride"?

Also, which easier for going one to the ohter? Looks like a loooooonng walk from forward to midship once up on 7, longer elevator ride from 2, but close once out of the elevator.

Sounds silly, I know, but it is something I need to consider, and I'm clueless. Thanks.

You will probably enjoy your view much more on 6, but 2 may be smoother.

In all honesty, the ship isn't THAT big. If you are midship on 2, you are a short elevator ride to the resturant deck, guest services, and disembarking. If you are forward 6, you can take the forward elevator/stairs up one flight and you have a two-three (max) minute walk to midship. Waiting for an elevator from 2 to 7 can set you back a few minutes, most times you are faster with the stairs (the flights of stairs are short, although feel longer at the end of the day and unless you are physically fit, not a good idea for that many flights). You are really in a quandry, but both are doable.

I would ask about the stateroom view to help make the decision. Check out Dave's site for views and ask about the view from Deck 2 vs. Deck 6. That may help.

deck 6 is my favorite so i vote for that. you are only a few flights from anything and it is alot quicker to take the stairs most of the time than to wait for elevators, especially after dinners and shows.

the ship really isn't that big....the bigger question is the ride forward vs midship...
i don't know...
we were on deck 8 midship and had a wonderful smooth ride...
also, we took the stairs everywhere (both up and down)....
it takes too long to wait for the elevator...
