2 October 08 Wonder. Long way off but .....

Seems so long since I was here ..

I'm also not booking Palo or anything else as the trip is so short .. I just want to wander and not have to worry about being in one place at a certain time. If I booked a longer cruise, then I'd definitely book something for Mick and I.

We're in room 6634 by the way which is towards the rear, or whatever they call it!! :confused3

Still no room assignment yet, I hope i'll get an upgrade. :P

We will be on this cruise for our honeymoon! We can't wait!!

I'm just wondering...how does everyone already know what room they are in...?

Welcome aboard & congratulations! :goodvibes

We booked a specific stateroom when we booked the cruise & we can see it when we log into our reservation on the DCL site. If you don't see an assigned room on your reservation yet, keep checking, though some people report not knowing the specific stateroom until checking in at the port! You will receive your cruise docs a few weeks before the cruise date, which should also list your stateroom.

Boo! I can't reserve anything until 75 days out because I am not a Castaway Club member. 11 more days until I reserve a spa treatment!

Oh I am sorry Policycobb, I just checked and all spa appointments are booked.

Anyone have a "no-sew" design for a fish extender?

Hi everyone! I'm actually on the cruise after you guys (but you're in my subscribed threads so I know when to keep an eye out for documents... ;) ) and noticed this post. Here's a link from awhile ago - not sure if you guys found this or not...but it gives a pattern for sew and at the bottom the no sew instructions. :teeth:

Have a great day!!!

We will be on the cruise form our 10 year anniversary. Made a reservation for Oct 3 (our anniv) for Paolos. We also booked the dolphin swim. Can't wait.....

In reading the posts, I notice that many of you are flying in the day before. We are having disney book our flights for the day we leave. Now I am wondring if I should have done that. Any thoughts or experiences from anyone that has arrived on same day we depart?

Congratulations Marnm02 on your upcoming wedding and to Mimmiepnp on your anniversary. October 3rd is my sister and brother in-law's anniversay and my other's sister's birthday.

I have been on three crusies (this is my first DCL) and have always flown in the day we departed booked by the cruise line. Only once we were late due to weather. Most people on the plane were on the cruise and they held it for us. I think you will be fine.

Hi there,
My plan was to stay at the Hyatt & take DCL's transfers to the port in the morning, but then my DH decided he would rather drive ourselves so we are renting a car. Since we were renting a car, I started to look at other hotels - friends of ours had stayed at Rosen Shingle Creek and recommended it so we decided to stay there. (I also got an incredible!!! price for them on Hotwire). I'm glad you were able to change flights to come in the night before - it will be so much less stressful for you and you can start embarkation day well rested & ready to go! You'll have to let me know how the Hyatt is! Are you taking the DCL bus in the morning?

We will be taking the DCL bus in the morning.

Apparently upon check in at the Hyatt we are to advise the clerk at the desk that we are taking a DCL cruise in the moring and upon check out a DCL rep will come and get our luggae so all we have to do is check out and walk down stairs to get the bus and not have to worry about the luggage. The DCL rep advised taking the 10 or 11 o'clock bus to port so once check in at the port is complete, we don't have to wait too long to board ship at 1 o'clock ( or he said possibly 12:30 depending on what the ship captain allows).

The process could not be easier. Hopefully it is as smooth as they say!:)

i can't wait- i wish it were here now - the only downside is, once this trip gets here, then summer is over & it seems we waited so long for summer to arrive!

i know the docs say boarding doesn't start until 1:00, but we have never had boarding start past 11:45 - it has always begun between 11:30-11:45, so i hope that is the case again this time! keeping my fingers crossed...

Good to know so I will definately try to catch a bus to be there by 11 in order to get throught the process and then board the ship. I am soooo excited!:yay:

My DD and I are going for a short 4 day weekend over Labor Day before she starts school to WDW and staying for the first time at SSR (we are new DVC members) so I am hoping that trip will help me with my excitement and countdown to the DCL cruise with my DH since it is all that I can think about.........:)

Welcome to the cruise Minniepnp and Samily :yay:
Have I already welcomed you? I can't remember anything right now, my head is so full of Disney things!!

I have managed to get my sister to make a FE too ... she's unsure if she'll join the official FE list but she loved the idea. I'm sure her FE will be excellent too as she's very arty.

I didn't think to ask my sister if she would like to join the FE list. I keep talking about it and she said it sounded like fun. I have gotten some gifts. Still haven't made my FE yet. Can't wait!!

I don't mind another one joining if nobody else does. Just means I'll go and get a few more pressies! Not sure if my sister would like to join or not as she hasn't really got alot of money. I may do a small FE list for our family (5 cabins) as well as this official one.

My FE is really not doing very well. It's bland, boring and dark coloured. Boring boring. I can see me starting this again or asking my sister to make me one!! :confused3
