2 nights at DVC, can I use DDP?

Is there a minimum night stay to apply Disney Dining Plan to a DVC stay?

I just booked for 2 nights and was told that I could add the DDP.

You have to be staying on points to get the DDP if you don't do a package. If you do a package, it's no different than any other non-DVC resort.

staying on points have added DDP for a one night stay.

I actually booked the beach club villas as a cash price with the discount and was told that I could add the DDP if I wanted.
