I wonder if I should reveal my real name for this trip report. My OB might read these boards & punish me for all of my illicit snacking I did on this trip. It's better to eat Dole Whips & Cinnamon Rolls than ride roller coasters though right? RIGHT? =)
After a long drive from Indiana and late check-in into the All Star Movies, our daughter woke us up at 7am ready to hit the parks. We managed to keep her happy with Toon Disney until 8am but she wasn't going to wait any longer. We got ready and headed to the food court for breakfast. We got in and out in probably 30 minutes so it wasn't too bad. We hopped the bus to Magic Kingdom and I knew we would probably end up leaving since it was a Saturday but I just can't go to DisneyWorld and do any other park first. It actually wasn't all that bad which surprised me.
Whoops! Before we even made it past the gates I had to take my first of many potty breaks!! The ones right next to Guest Services are very nice & I used them a few times. *chuckle* We got in and walked down Main Street USA only to find our favorite piano player at Casey's Corner playing our favorite song (Maple Leaf Rag). We didn't even have to request it! Oooooh, things are going good so far! We went left towards Adventureland and stopped to do Aladdin's Carpets (which we have never done before) and only waited about 10 minutes to get on...we liked it even though it was a short ride. We walked to Jungle Cruise and grabbed a fast pass then walked to the Tiki Birds. It was 15 minutes until the next show so we went down to El Pirato Y El Whatever (I can't remember the name...the mexican spot across from PotC) to get a drink. Finished our drinks and went to see the Tiki Birds then headed over for the Jungle Cruise. Weeeee!! Nice things so far for a waddling pregnant lady to do. We then walked past PotC but the line was out past the turnstiles so we walked on past hoping to catch it a bit less crowded later (which we did).
Whelp! We've been in the park at this point for about 2 hours and I need to take another potty break so we duck into Pecos Bill's and decide to have lunch while we are there. Now, I went on this trip fully expecting to eat healthy...really I did! Hehe, okay maybe I didn't....you got me...I was dreaming of food before we left. Anywho, I saw the chicken wrap on the menu which did look yummy but you can't really put all those sauteed mushrooms & onions on a chicken wrap now can you? I chose the cheeseburger ONLY because mushrooms go better with that and it was the mushrooms I really wanted you see. >
It was a pretty good cheeseburger!
We walked over to BTMR and SM after lunch to see how the waits were. Pretty big waits on both and the park seemed to be getting a little crowded for my taste. We hopped on the railroad and headed to Main Street so we could catch the Monorail to Epcot since it was the last day Test Track would be open before refurbishment.
Epcot was nice and not all that crowded. We walked in & made a bee line for Test Track. The knuckleheads got fast passes. We walked down to Ice Station Cool and I tricked Chris into trying Beverly (HAHA I'm so evil!...Beverly is a *horrible* tasting soda). After that we walked down to World Showcase where we took the Mexico boat ride. We stopped for a Churro after the ride and enjoyed it without too many seagulls trying to take our heads off.
Then onto Norway, I got into line for this because there was no "No expecting mothers" notice but I asked the gal seating everyone if it was safe & she said "we don't advise it". I opted to hop out of line and just wait for the knuckleheads to ride it. It was time for Test Track so we headed back there and I took off to MouseGear while they rode. They had a newborn poohbear outfit 50% off so I bought it for the baby's first trip to DisneyWorld souvenier.
Better to spend money than to get yummy treats, right?
After this, I was getting pretty tired and just wanted to start heading out. We stopped at Spaceship Earth on the way out & pretty much just walked on it. After that we headed to the busses and back to ASMovies for dinner. It wasn't a terribly full day but with being so tired from the drive it was perfect.
