We will be arriving from Santa Monica on Sunday, July 12 (4pm or so) and departing on Wednesday, July 15 (6pm). Will 2 full days and 2 half days be enough time. Considering taking advantage of the 3 for 5 hotel deal but it will cost me $150pp to change our return trip. Comments please!

It can be done. Just keep in mind that Summer crowds are larger. Wait times will be longer. Make sure to really work the FP system. I personally would pay the $150 as you will get that much back in enjoyment and not feel like you have to go so commando and hit everything. But it's not my money. So know that it can be done, just get a good plan in place and make sure to hit rope on your three mornings there

Yes, the $150 is per person so it will cost me $450 to change our return flight. Really would gain 1 extra day in the park and $450 is way more than what the rate per night is at DLH.

After some thought, we will stick with our original plan. I did however change our tickets to 3 for 5 which after the change fee ($25) still saves me $25.00...every penny counts!

Thanks for your input.

I saw a pretty good amount of the patk last year in 2 full days and 1 half day - I got time for a few repeat rides on my favourite things, but I didn't get round everything (I missed a few shows and bits in DCA mainly).

So - 2 full days and 2 half days could be enough, depending on the time of year and also depending on how slowly you walk, how long the park hours are (the park hours were really long when I went) etc...

I suspect you won't feel like you've missed out on loads - you just might not get to do loads of repeat rides.

Just know it will be busy.....we've done July twice in the past 2 years and we are going again this year. We just make a plan, pick the things that are important to us and get them done. Plan for crowds and use FP and you will have fun. You won't see it all but you will have fun. This year we leave on the 12th around 2-4 pm so we will just miss you!

Thanks Kerri...my name is Kerry!

We have been do WDW too many times to count so I think we should have more than enough time as there are some rides my kids won't want to go on.

The buy 3 get 2 free sounds good but in the end would cost more. We'll save it for another trip!

That's cool!! I rarely meet others with Kerry/Kerri spellings! :) Some of the rides that are at both parks are very different at DL, I would recommend trying some of them out. Space & Pirates are both rumored to be better at DL, even Splash has rumors of being better. I can't compare unfortunately, we've never done WDW. :) But, don't rule them out just because they are at both parks, especially Splash in July.....LOL

If you are planning to go back to Disneyland within the year, you might want to upgrade to APs on your last day..........:thumbsup2 This way, one less thing to pay for when you plan for your next get away!

Our usual trip is two full and one or two half days. Although we normally get there around noon on day 1 and leave at about 3 on day 3 or 4. We also only go in the off season so the crowds are not as much of an issue. This year we did the 4 day thing. The crowds were crazy. We still saw/did everything we wanted to. Fastpasses are a must though. We'd collect in the morning and save them for evening when no more were available and the lines were outrageous.

APs - are they for all Disney parks or just a specific park...could we use them in DL and WDW?

They're just for the park you bought them for (DL or WDW). You can't use a DL AP in WDW.

Thanks! After a sleepless night I have decided to change our return flight and take advantage of the additional 2 nights free. This is vacation - right?! We will now have more than enough time to relax and enjoy the parks.

Thanks again for your help
