I just "discovered" these boards, so I wanted to share my happy dance story!
Our last trip to Disney was in 2010. It was not very magical for my hubby so I didn't think we would go back for awhile. I talked him into going in March before his convention for work, since his company would pay for his airfare regardless of when he chose to travel. Then I realized it was the week before Easter. We nixed that idea bc we don't do crowds. We couldn't decide on a new time. The idea of a Disney vacation was off the table for awhile.
A few days after we nixed the March 2013 trip, my hubby calls from work and tells me he won a contest and his prize is TWO FREE ROUNDTRIP AIRLINE TICKETS!
Okay, Disney here we come. But when? A few days later, the discount board reported FD coming up for October!
October for daughter's 7th birthday!
So, I managed to snag a GV room at POFQ (our first choice), get a couple of good ADRs (LTT and Sci-fi), and arranged to go to the Halloween Party (first time!).

Oh, and we are NOT telling my daughter until we wake her up on the morning of our departure (nor are we telling anyone in my family for fear someone will slip).
