2 For The Price of 1: One Trip Done; One More to Plan!

Love the pics of 1900 Park Faire-we ate there the week of Thanksgiving and we had the same Cinderella. Your Prince was definately cuter! Did you try the strawberry soup-it was very yummy!

I had never tried the Strawberry Soup before but after hearing everyone rave about here on the DIS, I finally did. It was delicious! The problem is - there are so many good things to eat, I never take the time for soup!

Sigh. You wonderful review of 1900 Park Fare has me wanting to go there again. I promised myself no more ADR changing for our May trip and I think I might have to break that rule. The food looks so yummy!

What a nice treat that you could see Illuminations from your room!

We love it so much too and I always naturally book it for every trip. But I really do think I'm cancelling it for our trip in three weeks. I've told Lauren that we were JUST THERE; time to give another place a chance!

Yea! You're back! Great pics - weren't you at 1900PF just a couple of days before us? I had so much fun there..... But Jeff was nervous - he was expecting one of the steps to ask him to dance or something! Now THAT I would have paid extra for!!! :rotfl2:

Yeah - we did just miss each other. But the sight of Jeff dancing with a stepsister? I would have went again!:lmao:

Okay, I love the update!! I think 1900 Park Faire is on our list for dinner next year. I can't believe my oldest will be graduating next year.

We have started getting the 13 presents for the younger one....dang I am getting old. :guilty:

As always, love the pictures.

great update! i just love 1900 park fare! the characters there are so fun. and really cool that you could see illuminations from your room! :thumbsup2

did you hear about sasha and malia obama's surprise last night? they were doing a scavenger hunt that the staff and their parents set up for them in order for them to learn about their new home and when they came into the kitchen the jonas brothers were there! i thought about lauren and amanda when i heard that! here's a story about it:

http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2009/01/jonas-brothers.html

Great update, Cammie! Those wicked stepsisters look like they would be a hoot!!!

Oh, and we are HUGE fans of The Office! (almost to the point of nerd-dome.) It is sometimes the biggest thrill of the week! (That's what she said!)

That is cool that you and Lauren were able to see Illuminations from your room. At least it was a consolation for having to call it an early night! You girls will make it up in February, I have no doubt!

Thanks for thinking of us and, yes I did hear that story. Lauren nearly started hyperventilating when I told her ......"I would just die, Mom, just die if I opened a door and the Jonas Brothers were on the other side!" Yeah, like that would ever happen!

Oh Alan - we have another bond! We are complete and total Office nerds in our house! Don't even get me started on the one-liners: "Dwight, get out of my nook!" :rotfl2:

Thanks for reading guys!

You're so good, Theresa! I need to start putting together 13 little gifts to give Lauren. Since our trip is her big gift, I don't want to go overboard but I do think it would be fun to put some little things together. Give her some things to open before and during the trip.

And thanks for sticking with the report. It's almost over. Next I'll have to move on to my pre-trippie!

One I thought of for my almost 13 year old that would work for you is a new water bottle with 13 straws in it. Another is a tin with 13 hair pretties in it. Never is anything expensive, it's just coming up with the 13 things.

You'll get it done!!

Hi guys! I'm typing from FL! Just wanted to say hi! I'm taking notes for my TR. Sorry so short. I'm on my dads phone.

Hey Cammie! I've been MIA here and haven't read back to catch up on everything I missed. I think that bottle of wine and The Office made for a pretty nice night, no?;)

I found the link to your TR from your trip last June while reading someone elses TR. It caught my eye because I was thinking of taking a trip the end of June when school gets out instead of the end of August which I already booked but ds15 does'nt want to go since it's cutting into his football practice. I enjoyed reading your last TR and I'm looking forward to reading this one. I think it's great that you are able to get away with your DD, we have a ds with autism and we love to bits but we spend a lot of time caring for him and we sometimes feel like ds15 is'nt getting enough of our attention, so we try to plan things to do with him alone but now he's at the age where he wants a friend to come to. Anyway I'm looking forward to your tr. Linda :)

Hi Linda! Thanks for checking in and I'm sorry it took me so long to get back to this thread.

Glad to hear you're able to take a solo trip with your DS. Did you switch to June yet? We managed just fine in June - much more hotter than what we're used to, but when it's just Lauren and I, it's easier to manage. And I agree with everything you said. There was a time I never imagined taking a trip without Amanda, but I've now realized that Lauren does usually take a back seat to her sister when we'd vacation. And I'd come home and realize that I didn't get to do anything with her!:sad2: I so enjoy our one-on-one trips together now and hope we can continue them!

So, three weeks from today, Lauren and I will be leaving this behind..................

and we will be checking into here for three nights:

And then onto this area, for two nights:
Boardwalk13.jpg

So here is our schedule:

Sun., 2/15: Arrive in Orlando by noon; hop on ME and hopefully check into SSR by 1:30. Hair-braiding appt. for Lauren at 4:00 at GF; then on to MK for PM EMH. We have no dinner ADRs this night; will just do CS.(and if I know Lauren, it will be at Casey's!:) )

Mon., 2/16: Since we plan on staying at MK until closing (2am), we'll be sleeping in a little this morning. If it's warm, we'll head down to the pool for a few hours. Then on to DTD for shopping and dinner. ADRs at Fulton's at 7:20pm

Tues., 2/17: DHS - all day! Hopefully we'll be up and out for rope drop. Must ride TSM and RnRC as much as possible. Dinner ADRs at The Yachtsman at the YC at 7:35.

Wed., 2/18: Check out of SSR; check-in to BW. Spend day at AK; then dinner ADRs at Tutto's in Italy in Epcot at 7pm.

Thurs., 2/19: MK day. I have breakfast ADRs at the Crystal Palace for 8:05 am; not real sure if we'll make it. Dinner ADRs at LeCellier in Canada at 7pm.

Fri., 2/20: Check out of BW. :sad1: Breakfast with the Princesses in Norwary at 9:05. We'll then spend some time in Epcot. Also hoping to meet up with DISbuddy Kara and her daughter this day. Our flight isn't until 7:30 pm, so we'll have a good chunk of the day to do things.

This trip is to celebrate Lauren's 13th birthday, so I completely let her pick the places she wanted to have dinner (hence the repeats of some places we just ate at in Nov.!) I've also alerted all TS restaurants of this fact, so hopefully they will have our table decorated. I'll be so disappointed if they don't! I want to order a special birthday cake for her one night with dinner; I'm just trying to fiigure out the best place to have it. I'm also thinking of having some chocolate-covered strawberries delivered to one of our rooms at check-in as a special surprise - she (and I) LOVE those!

Yikes - still have so much to do!

JUST THREE MORE WEEKS!

hey, cammie! sorry i'm just now seeing this. just wanted to add my 2 cents in about SSR. we stayed there last april/may and we loved it! we stayed in the congress park section and i just LOVED our view of DTD. we were in the building closest to the DTD marketplace walkway and furthest from the carriage house area. the walk wasn't bad to the carriage house though. i'm telling you - it took me about 10 minutes and that was going at a leisurely pace. the walk to marketplace is only about 10 minutes, too. it was so nice to be able to walk over there whenever we wanted to. also, anna, chris and luke joined us on our very last night for the P&PP and all three of them slept on the sofa bed in our studio room. i can't remember if you guys are getting a studio or 1-bedroom but i just wanted to let you know that anna said that bed was VERY comfortable - not at all your typical sofa bed. there were no rails or anything sticking in her back.

here are some links to my TR with pictures of SSR. i can't remember if you read that one or not.

I can't believe you're already going back!!!! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO AWESOME!!!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: But seriously...are you sure you want to leave all that ice and snow??? Sub-zero temps? Shoveling and scraping and salting???? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: That's a good time, too!

Cammie, your itinerary looks great! It is so extra-good that you'll be leaving all that snow and ice behind.:thumbsup2

Hey Cammie,
DH and I just got back from the world on Monday:sad:. I finally tried the Grand Marnier (sp?) slush from France. OMG! It was the best thing in the whole wide world. I think I have a new addiction!:thumbsup2 Next trip I'll try the Lemon Citron as well.

Hi Cammie,

Hope you and the girls are staying warm in all the crazy weather up there! Hang in there, a little under 3 weeks and you'll be back at your happy place.:)

No worries! I've been MIA around here too!;) And wine and the Office are always the ingrediants for a good night. Thanks for sticking with me.

I found your next TR!!! I love them!!

Thank you for reading. I'm sorry I've neglected this TR for so long. Been a rough week here in the northeast - snow, sleet, rain, ice!:sad2:

You know, I have NEVER tried the Grand Marnier slushie! And I love Grand Marnier. But I know the Citron slushie so well, so that's always the one I go for. I promise - on my list for our trip in two week, I'll be trying the Grand Marnier slushie!

Cammie if you go to the top where it says Submit Tools you can share this link on facebook....

I'm so sorry guys for being so neglectful of my little TR here. These past two weeks have been brutal weather weeks - snow, ice, rain, sleet. Just yuck! But's it's time to wrap this puppy up -- afterall I have new trip coming up in two weeks. Which means a NEW TR!!!! And lord knows, I can't have two going at the same time!

So here we are - our 7th day of vacation. It had been unbearably humid the past few days and Amanda had a tough time so I decided today was going to be another pool day. It was certainly hot enough for it!

Lovely day at the BW pool...........

After spending a few hours at the pool, we were hungry and decided to head out to the Boardwalk for some lunch. The BW Food-To-Go is always a good choice!

Ate some healthy food for lunch: onion rings and french fries with cheese sauce:

After lunch, it was time to go back to the room and get ready for our night out. We had dinner ADRs in England for 8:05 and Amanda's nurse was meeting us there.

We headed into Epcot and stopped off in the United Kingdom first. I was happy to see that Pooh and Friends had just come out. Yeah - another photo op.
