And about Hanson (I can't believe I'm about to admit this) but I actually just got their new cd and it is really good! My husband and I saw a special on tv about them and really liked their new stuff. It is called "The Walk".

We are going to the Space Launch Monday Nov. 10. If it gets cancelled we will be at the Studios Monday.
Maybe I"ll see you on the Boardwalk that weekend.

I think it is going to be to cold to swim, but I am still taking my suit.

Well, since this is a pre-trip report, I guess I should start filling you guys in on some more of my trip plans. (not that I'm not enjoying our "teen idol crush" talk! )

So I made another ADR for my surprise trip with Lauren in Feb. We'll be eating at Tutto Italia on Wed., the 18th. I'm excited about this one because we have yet to eat here since it had been taken over. And I've seen so much delicious food porn from this place -- thanks Alan! That now gives me three dinner ADRs for our five nights there: 1900 Park Faire on our first night, Sunday; Tutto's on Wed.; and LeCellier on our last night, Thurs.

I'm not so sure about keeping LeCelllier. We eat there EVERY trip because it is one of our favorites (we'll be there in Nov.) so I'm thinking I'd like to get a different restaurant in there. But, then again, since this is Lauren's birthday trip, I'd like to eat at the restaurants that I know she enjoys the most -- and my little girl loves her steaks at LeCellier! For the two remaining nights, I'm sure one dinner will be at DTD - that's a must-do night for us every trip also. For our fifth night, I'm thinking of something a little more casual and whimsical - maybe somewhere at DHS. I'm still trying to figure out our park schedule for that week, so once I do, I'll have a better idea as to where to focus on.

Lastly, I'm now trying to decide on whether to get the DDP for the Feb.trip. I already have the DDE card - which is mainly accepted at only TS restaurants but also discounts alcohol. Since my 5 night trip is a split stay (3 nights-SSR; 2 nights-BWV), it was explained to me that I could get the DDP for just one of my reservations that week. So if I got it during my stay at SSR, I could use the DDP up until midnight on Wed., which essentially means that our dinner at Tutto's would be covered. Which then means the only dinner I'll have to pay OOP will be at LeCellier - and I can use the DDE card there. Are you with me still?

Anyway, I think I'm going to have to do the anal thing - just sit down, figure out what we would order at each restaurant, and then do the math. But I'm thinking the DDP may really work in our favor for this trip! Does anyone know if the DDP is accepted at any restaurants at DTD? If so, which ones? The last list I had only listed Cap n Jack's - that's the only one?

Thanks for the shout out on the Tutto Italia pics! I think you and Lauren will enjoy it.

On the DDP, you KNOW I'm a fan! I think your plan sounds solid. My only comment about Tutto is that it's expensive if paying OOP. Therefore, I think your plan to use the DDP for Tutto dinner will work out to save you money, and use your DDE discount at Le Cellier. If you ARE going to do the DDP, make sure to get the profiterolles for dessert at Tutto.

As far as DTD restaurants on the DDP, they usually add them later. Since DTD restaurants are not owned by Disney, they have to negotiate contracts and usually add them later. When we went to WDW in May on the DDP, we had several DTD options including Raglan Road, Earl of Sandwich, Wolfgang Puck, Planet Hollywood. It did NOT include Fulton's, which I know you like...but it DID include Raglan Road, which I also know you like. AND Earl of Sandwich was considered Counter Service.

Also, if you are thinking casual and whimsical at DHS, you might like 50s Prime Time. I thought the food was really good and comforting. Five star dining it IS NOT, but fun and casual it is for sure.
