2 Disneymoons (Oct. and Dec. 2007) and 1 Anniversary Trip (Sept. 2008)--Updated 2/20

I don't know how I missed you. I actually found your first TR on page 7. I actually put in the completed board. I didn't want it to sink to never never land.

I'm glad you started this one. Thank you for posting your wedding photo's. You guys looked really happy.

I went to Capone's Theatre with a bunch of highschool kids. Back in 2003 I chaperoned my ds's highschool band and we spent the day at MGM and the band director made us leave at 4:30 to go to the show. I'd rather have gone to Fantasmic, but I had to follow the band. LOL! We really had bad food the night we went, but no one got sick, so I guess it was okay.

I am really thinking of going to Sea World. Love your pictures.

Hi! I've read your report and it is great so far. I'm a scrapbooker, too, and am always disappointed in the selection at the store. They really need to work on that and we scrappers would spend a ton there. I love the candid wedding shot that your friend took. It really shows the love between you and your hubby. Your Sea World shots came out great, too, especially considering the rain.

Riley was the only one ready for the mug shot. He looks all though and everyone else is grinnin'.

I'm so glad to see ya here! And thanks for moving my last TR to the completed board. I kept thinking I would go back and really finish it, but never did, and really, there wasn't much more to report on that one anyway!

Thanks for the compliments on the wedding pictures! It was such a wonderful day, I couldn't have asked for more, well other than maybe getting married AT Disney, but we may do vow renewals there one day!

Oh gosh, I would have wanted to stay and gone to Fantasmic as well! The food at Capones just is not all that good at all. I mean, I've had worse food, but I've also had a lot better food as well!

I'm glad you liked the Sea World pics! We love going there!

Hi and welcome!! I'm so glad I'm not the only one that ends up disappointed in the selection they have! With scrapbooking being so popular, it could be a HUGE money maker for them if they would only offer more! I spend a ton of money on scrapbooking stuff, stickers and such for my pages, and I get frustrated when I can't find something that goes with the character I've met and just park specific stuff, and that is so something that Disney could do!

Thank you for the compliments on the picture! I love that one candid one! I need to get it enlarged or something, but it was taken on a cameraphone, so I'm wondering how well it will enlarge!

I'm glad you like the Sea World pictures! I was surprised how well they turned out considering the rain!

Oh gosh, it was so funny when they took the family mug shot picture because no one was expecting it at all, obviously! We were standing there, they were getting us all in and lined up and boom, the picture was taken. We were like 'Huh?!"

*********************************************

Sorry for the lack of updates to my TR. I should hopefully get something up a bit later today. I've been training to take over for a girl that just left here at work, so it hasn't left me much free time. As well as my mom had some health problems and we had to work on getting her straightened out and feeling better, which she's on her way to that, thank goodness! January was a drama filled month!

Another update....finally!! Thanks to those of you that are reading and posting! I'm finally starting to feel like I'm not actually just talking to myself! :rotfl:

Finally, we are going to a Disney park!!! It was our day that we had scheduled for MGM. Seemed like our routine for this trip was to get up and check the weather forcast for the day. Well, I shouldn't say for this trip, because we tend to do this for every trip because that FL weather is so unpredictible! Anyway, the forcast looked to be the same as the day before, but the rain areas seemed to be hitting different parts of the area than the did the day before, if that makes any sense. Anyway, it didn't look like it was going to be hitting the Disney area any time soon, so we figured we would take our chances and continue on with our plan to go to MGM. We figured we had plenty of time to see everything we wanted to see.

Heading onto Disney property:
100_3010.jpg

Every time we go to MGM, we keep hoping that we are heading in through the main entrance, instead of the small back entrance that we always end up coming across. I don't know why it's so important to us, well for me, I'd love to see it just to take a picture for scrapbooking purposes. I'm silly, I know! Anyway, again, we find ourselves at the back entrance, although I have a humorus story for our trip in December on getting to MGM, I'll save it for then.

We got in, parked, got on the tram and soon we were at the area to get in. I got through bag check with no problem, I always make sure I have all the pockets of my bag open and ready before I get in line to have my bag checked....I wish other people would do the same thing. Bag check would go so much quicker if people were more prepared getting ito the line. I know that's not always possible, but a girl can hope, can't she?!

Once we got through the turnstyles, we could see they had started putting out the Christmas decorations. The lady working the ticket area we went through was joking and said "Welcome to Hallowismas". Seriously, I couldn't believe they couldn't even wait for Halloween to be over with to start decorating for Christmas! We were coming back for our honeymoon to see Christmas done up at all the parks, I didn't want to see it then! But oh well, I just kept saying that it was our sneak peak of what was to come!

After we went through the gates, we went straight for the Photopass photographers. Since I always scrapbook each trip, of course I was going to buy the Photopass CD and wanted to get as many pictures as possible. I love how accomomodating they can be, taking pictures in different group settings for us. I wanted to get pictures of the 3 of us together, then pictures of Roy and Riley together, as well as just me and Roy. I was not thrilled at all how the pictures turned out, because it was so windy, my hair looks crazy!

image11.jpg

We walked up and of course had to get a picture of the hat...and the HSM show was going on, but we didn't stop and watch that.
100_3014.jpg

We walked past the hat and headed to the first ride that we always do, which is the Great Movie Ride. I'm a HUGE Wizard of Oz fan, so I love going on this ride, just to get to the Munchkinland area...it's the best part of the whole ride to me. I was too busy recording the ride on our videocamera that I didn't get pictures of Munchkinland. I should have asked Roy to do it, but then again, our pictures without flash never turn out that well for us.

We left that area and walked past the busts, and we had to stop and take our picture with Walt of course!
100_3017.jpg

We were on a mission though...we wanted to get to the Streets of America to hopefully see the Cars characters. On the way, we happened across Ron Stoppable, with no line at all! I wonder if people didn't realize that he was a character, or if they were just intent on getting to the Cars. But we stopped. I always love watching the Kim Possible cartoons, whenever I come across them. I think Ron thought I was crazy for wanting his autograph and a picture with him. Riley's pretty cool when it comes to meeting the characters because he always thinks of something to ask them, and for Ron, he asked where Rufus was at. The answer we got was that he was hanging out over at Animal Kingdom.

Here we are with Ron, he told us to do our best crime fighter pose for the picture:
100_3019.jpg

When we were done with Ron, we headed right over to where the already long line for the Cars had formed. We watched them bring in Lightening McQueen, but no Mater. We were disappointed, but at least we were seeing Lightening McQueen, so that was cool, and besides, we'd be back in December, so hopefully we'd be able to see Mater then. We heard a little kid ask someone where Mater was and she told him that he had an important towing job that he was doing.

Here we are with Lightening McQueen:

100_3021.jpg

When we were done there, we saw that the Power Rangers were out, but I think their time was quickly coming to an end. Riley wanted to get pictures with them, and we only had time for one person, if that, so we told him to pick quick and get in line if he still could. So he picked the Red Ranger and got in line. We had to laugh when we saw the pictures, because it looked like he was going to stand as far away from the Red Ranger as possible!

image14.jpg

image15.jpg

Up next...more characters, drama from home, the Backlot Tour....

We left the Power Rangers and since we were over that direction, we decided to go on the Backlot Tour. I haven't been on this ride in a while, so it was nice to go back on it.

Some pictures of our ride:

When we got off that, we decided to go over and see the Muppetvision 3D show. We are huge Muppet fans in our house! While we were in there, my cell phone went off, it was on vibrate. I didn't answer it, of course, since we were in the middle of the show, and I figured I was on vacation anyway.

When we got out of the show, we saw that Buzz and Woody were out, and we only had time to get in line for one of them. Woody's line was shorter, so into his line we went.

100_3054.jpg

image22.jpg

While we were in line, it started so sprinkle just a little bit, so we decided not to take any chances, we went over and bought some ponchos for ourselves. And of course as soon as we bought them and put them on, no more rain!

We decided to walk back over so that Roy and Riley could do the Star Tours ride and while they were on the ride I thought to check my cell phone because of the phone call I had missed earlier. The message was from my mom, who was calling to let me know that she was in the hospital, apparently her blood pressure had shot up really high and she was there to be monitored in case of a stroke. Actually, the message I got from her was that she was in the hospital but she was ok and to call her when I got the chance. Nothing like getting a message like that. I had tried to call her but got nothing on the number she gave me so I called my sister, who filled me in on what was going on. After I talked to her, I called the hospital again and managed to get through and talk to her. She seemed like she was fine, which was good news.

When Roy and Riley got off the ride, I filled Roy in on what was going on with my mom and then we decided to head over to the ABC Commissary and have lunch. But on our way over there, we were sidetracked by the fact that Mike and Sulley were out! Monsters Inc is one of my top all time favorite movies, so of course we had to see them!

image25.jpg

When we left there, we decided to head over to see the Voyage of The Little Mermaid, since I love that show! It was wonderful as always. I was able to record the show as well, so now I can go back and watch it! Of course it's what, February now, and I haven't watched it once since we've been back from that trip! We're so bad, we've done so much videotaping on both our trips and haven't had a chance to watch a single bit of it!

When we got out of the VOTLM show, we decided to head over and find a spot for the parade. Since it was slightly crowded in the parks, we wanted to make sure we had someplace good to watch the parade from. We got a pretty decent spot and settled in and watched the street performers. We even had a fun little interaction with one of them, ugh...I can't remember who now! But he took my videocamera and was recording for us and left us a little message! Even after I said we haven't watched any of the video, I did go back later to see what he had said.

Here is the view down from where we were sitting at:
100_3059.jpg

Look how windy it was!
100_3062.jpg

Christmas decorations already!
100_3063.jpg

At this point, my phone rang again, thank goodness it was before the parade began. This time it was my brother, who had forgotten that I was out of town on vacation. He hadn't heard from our mom and wanted to see if I had because he had a feeling something was wrong. I told him his instincts were right and that she was in the hospital. I thought it was funny that I was all the way in FL and I knew what was going on before did back home in VA.

We also ended up getting in touch with MIL, FIL, BIL, & his girlfriend. They were all in the park, they had decided to go to MGM too. We told them where we were at, and they joined us over at our seats, before it got crowded!

The parade was great as always, and we even got a little bit of attention, lots of waves and stuff from the characters when they spotted our Just Married pins. And even Luke Skywalker spotted the pins and said "Congratulations" to us. I had to go back and watch it on the video later to make sure I wasn't imagining that!

Hi Remy!

After the parade was over, we separated from the rest of the family for a bit. They wanted to go and do some of the things that we had already done and we didn't want to back track and miss out on the things we still wanted to do.

Our next stop was at the Magic of Animation building, where we went in the back way to get to the character greeting area. We were hoping to meet the Rataioulle characters, but the Incredibles came out first, so we decided to jump into their line. When it was our turn, while we were posing for the picture with them, the Photopass photographer spotted our pins and said "Congratulations guys!". So after we took the group shot, Mrs. Incredible grabbed me and pointed at my pin, so I said that yes, we had just gotten married. So she grabbed me and started moving me around, I had no clue what was going on! Then she put me where she wanted me to be and then moved Roy in front of me and made him get down on one knee. Then she stood behind me with Mr. Incredible on his knee in front of her and had the photographer take a picture. I loved it!! I knew I was getting that Photopass CD now, no matter what! The Incredibles is another one of my most favorite movies!

Our family shot:

I love those pictures!

After we were done with them, we headed over and only Emile was out. When it was our turn, Riley asked him where Remy was, and he motioned that Remy was cooking. When Emile saw our Just Married pins, he was so excited and started jumping up and down!

Totally going out of order, but I forgot about these pictures. When we were waiting for the parade, we got some more Photopass pictures taken:

Back to after meeting Emile....

When we were done there, we decided to go to catch the Beauty & The Beast show. Beauty & The Beast is my all time favorite Disney movie (which is part of the reason that DH got them involved when he proposed!). I never go to MGM without seeing that show! And for some reason, I don't have any of my pictures from that show uploaded. Actually, I'm thinking that I was recording it on the videocamera and I bet Roy didn't take any pictures. Oh well!

After the show, we headed over for Roy and Riley to do the Tower of Terror and I just bummed around, taking pictures, looking through stores, stuff like that.

100_3111.jpg

100_3113.jpg

100_3115.jpg

When they got off the ride, we headed over to the RnR ride, but I guess that ride was temporarily down so we went looking in some more stores. We ended up getting in touch with the rest of the family that was there and they had met us over in that area. BIL & his girlfriend wanted to do ToT adn RnR, so I said I would watch the baby so they could go ride on it. So I saw with MIL & FIL with the baby and they rode on ToT first, and then were going to ride RnR, but when they got over there, the ride was down again, or maybe it was still down. Oh yeah, and did I mention that it was raining now?! We were trying to decide what to do about Fantasmic, and I heard 2 girls talking about how they had talked with someone and they had asked about if Fantasmic was still going to happen because of the weather. Apparently they hadn't decided if it was going to be cancelled or just postponed. So when Roy got back, we decided to just leave because of the uncertainty of what was going to happen with Fantasmic. We knew we'd see it in December anyway, since we booked the Fantasmic dining package. We were glad we decided to leave because it started pouring on our way out and to the tram. Thank goodness it wasn't as bad when we got to our stop off the tram, since our car was parked on the other end of the parking lot!

When we left MGM, we realized we hadn't had dinner, so we decided to go by Cracker Barrel on our way back to Star Island and get dinner. When we got back to our villa, we just hung around, rested, let the feet recover from all the walking!

Up next...MNSSHP!

How is your mom doing.

I laugh when I see the ewok cages. I watch the Roloff's on TLC and Matt Roloff was an ewok.

Did you get to Fantasmic in December. I still have not been there. It rained really hard when we were there in April. When we got back to our hotel, the rain stopped and the temperature rose to the low 80's at 10:00 o'clock at night. Someday I'll get there.

Nice pictures again, glad to see you back.

Great update!! I can't wait to hear more!

My mom is doing a lot better, thanks for asking! She had a really rough year last year, she was diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2007, so she had to go through all of that. Then she had a psychiatrist that was not doing her any good, and he ended up just giving her antianxiety pills instead of helping her, and eventually started giving her percoset, which we still don't know why, and she got addicted to that. So when she started having to go to the hospital for her blood pressure shooting up, we had no clue about the percoset problem, until that last time. From that October trip until this last trip, she had been in and out of the hospital 6 times! My brother and I finally went over and took inventory of her medicines and figured out what was going on, and she's now not seeing that doctor, as well as not taking all the meds, thank goodness!

Yep...we did get to see Fantasmic in December! I was so glad we finally got to see it again! We love the show, but my DH doesn't have the patience to have to get there early like they suggest to so you can make sure you see it!

Great update!! I can't wait to hear more!
Thanks so much!

Yay...another chance to update my TR!

And I'm pretty happy because it looks like we'll be able to go back to FL for our yearly trip, this time in September! We're currently trying to conceive another little Disney fan and we were concerned about a due date being too close to when my MIL has her timeshare in September, but I'm not pregnant yet, and looks like I won't be pregnant with a due date that would be too close to our trip, so we should be able to go. I'm not sure what week my MIL has, but we should be there either September 13th to the 20th or September 20th to the 27th. I'm thinking it is that first week.

Anyway, on with the TR!

Wednesday, October 31st--It's Halloween!!

Since we had tickets for the MNSSHP that night, this was going to be a relaxing day before we headed over to MK for the party. We knew it was going to be a sold out party, so we wanted to try to get there right at 4 to get stuff done as soon as we could.

We started off the day, just hanging around, doing some laundry. Riley went upstairs to play video games with Roy's cousin. Roy and I went for a walk around the timeshare property.

Looking out across the lake from the building that we were staying in

100_3133.jpg

After our walk around the property, we decided to head back to our room and check on the laundry, then we got Riley and decided to go get something for lunch. Since there was a Fridays right at the front of the Star Island property, we just went there, since it was close by. And snice we were feeling so creative, we ordered the same food we had gotten a few days before when we went out to lunch with our friends! :rotfl: Since I'm such a picky eater, there was no doubt what I was going to order. (It was the bruschetta chicken pasta, by the way...that is so good!).

After lunch we went back to start getting ready. Roy and I weren't going to dress up in costumes, but we did have our Halloween shirts on. I was flipping back and forth on if I was going to wear shorts or capris. Roy decided to wear jeans, he figured it would cool off once the sun went down. I still couldn't decide, so I put on capris and put a pair of shorts in my Baggalini. Love the ziplock bag method of packing, made it easier to throw those shorts in!

Riley couldn't decide what he wanted to be for Halloween. He's usually the gory characters you see, and we told him he couldn't do that. His next thought was to be Capt. Jack Sparrow, but we weren't sure about doing that for him, we didn't want to spend all the money for the costume he would only wear once. But then I got an email from the Disney Store online and the costume was on sale and they had it in his size! :yay: So we ordered that, and were sweating making sure it was going to get delivered to us on time! Thank goodness it did! Then we realized it only came with the bandana, so the weekend before we left, I went to the Disney Store at the mall and found the hat with the dreads on sale 40% off, as well as the accessory set on sale 40% off as well! I was so excited that we were able to get that all for him, and only spent $35 or so for his whole costume! There was one thing missing though, he wanted facial hair! So off we went and ended up finding that at Target, again on sale! I think Roy and I were more excited about Riley's costume than he was!

Anyway, we started getting our Captain Jack ready for the night and Roy's aunt, uncle and cousin showed up, since they were going to the party with us that night.

Here's our Captain Jack:
100_3138.jpg

Doesn't he look great?! We love how his costume came out! Although getting eyeliner on a 10 year old boy, yeah, that's not so easy! Thank goodness it wasn't supposed to look perfect, since he was a pirate!

He had the Captain Jack run down too! I have him on video tape doing the run and if I ever figure out how to get that uploaded to photobucket so that I can post it, I will! I tried but what we had wasn't in the right format, so I need to see if I can change the format it is saved in. Honestly, for the first part of the night, he was so into character with his costume, he was having a great time. Then he started getting candy, and eating it when we weren't looking so at the evening wore on he started getting a tummy ache, and his facial hair started getting itchy and in his way.

Anyway, we finally headed out and got to MK. Riley was so funny on the monorail, with his telescope out, asking where his boat was. I was already warm, and it's funny, in the video, you hear me saying that I was so sweaty, I was about to fall off the seat and as soon as I could, I was going to change out of my capris into some shorts! And that's what I did!

Anyway, we make it through bag check, go through our turnstyle, get our wrist bands and head towards one of my most favorite places in the world....walking out onto Main Street! I always feel so giddy and happy and just peaceful the moment I step onto Main Street.

We walked around in front of Tony's and right there were Perla and Suzy and we were just going to go right past them, but Perla had other ideas as she wanted her picture taken with our Capt. Jack, so she grabbed him and made Roy take their picture! She wouldn't let him go either, until we took the picture! She was kissing at him and holding his arm! Who knew that Perla loved pirates!
100_3139.jpg

After that, we didn't want Suzy to be left out, so we decided to get a picture with her too, and she was just as happy about our pirate as Perla was!
100_3140.jpg

After that, we headed up towards the Castle, but of course, we had to do some Photopass pictures first!
image56.jpg

image58.jpg

image59.jpg

image60.jpg

image63.jpg

After we finished doing our pictures, we decided to head to the times board just to see if there was a Pirate Tutorial going on. We knew he was probably not going to get a chance to meet Capt. Jack and get a picture of him, but at least if we could, he'd be able to see some of the Pirate Tutorial. It said that there was one going on at 4:30, and it was just that time then, so we took off walking as fast as we could to where we remembered it being....got there and nothing! I guess they had already finished for the day, and we saw a CM and asked him about it and said that it was done. Oh well! We were disappointed, but what are you going to do.

We were about to go in and do the POTC ride, but we saw Hook & Smee come out, so we figured we would go meet them first. We had such a fun time meeting them the year before with Junior, and while we loved them, this time wasn't nearly as fun as the year before! Although Hook was very happy to meet a fellow pirate!
100_3141.jpg

After we were done with them, we headed into the POTC ride, which Roy and I were the only ones who had been on it since the rehab, so we were excited to show everyone the changes to the ride. As we were walking in, the one guy working the ride saw Riley and yelled out "Jack! What are you doing out of your ride....get back in there!" Too funny! He also wished us congratulations as we went in.

After we got off the ride, it was finally my chance to change out of my capris too! Everyone else went into the gift shop to look around, I headed to the bathroom to change! I was so happy to get out of those capris and into some shorts!

When we left the gift shop, we saw that Peter Pan and Wendy were out! We had met Wendy before, but I was so excited to see Peter Pan! When we were standing in line, we told Riley to tell them that he wasn't really a pirate, he was just dressed as one to spy on Hook. But he got all nervous when he was talking to them. I think he does great with the costume characters, but gets embarrassed when he has to actually talk to the face characters. Of course who am I to talk, I never know what to say to them either!

100_3142.jpg

Once we left there, we headed towards the mountains. No one wanted to do Splash Mountain, I think Roy was a bit disappointed because he loves that ride. I'm a chicken and that drop scares the crap out of me. Instead we headed over to BTMRR because Roy's cousin and Riley wanted to do that ride, so the 3 of them went on that. UIL decided he wanted to do to Tom Sawyer Island, so I went over there with him and AIL. He went exploring, AIL and I sat and chatted while he was off doing that. When we got back off TSI, we went by the area where you can watch people on BTMRR and waited for them to get off the ride. I was telling AIL about how I just might suck it up and ride that ride with Roy when we go back on our honeymoon in Dec., if I can stop being chicken. There was a guy that was listening to us talk and he was telling me that the ride is not that bad at all, and was trying to talk me into going on it. I need to get over some of my ride chickeness, on stuff like that. Big roller coasters and stuff like that, yeah, I'm not going to do those, but if I let myself, I might be able to do Splash Mountain and BTMRR. Just not in the year 2007 :rotfl: Maybe during our September trip this year!

100_3144.jpg

Once they got off the ride, we decided to head over to the Haunted Mansion. We hadn't been on that since the rehab, so I was excited to go on it! I rode on the ride with AIL so that Riley could ride with his dad. Candy and I were laughing and joking the whole time we were on the ride...I loved the ride...looks awesome! I had only been on it once before the rehab, so I couldn't tell everything that was new, but it looked awesome!

Here's one of my very few Disney complaints, and it's only because of me and nothing to do with Disney. I'm a HUGE klutz! So the rides with the conveyor belts to load and unload you into the ride vehicles, yeah, I am so not good at getting in and out of those rides! So when we got out of the ride vehicle for Haunted Mansion, yeah, I smacked the mess out of my knee! Oh well! It didn't hurt that bad, but I knew I'd be getting a bruise at that spot at some point from that.

As we were heading towards Fantasyland, and well, he was saying it since we got to MK, Roy's cousin reminded us that he so was not going to go on Small World. Well none of us really were wanting to go on Small World either, but we all wanted to mess with him, so we headed directly to that ride! I also told him that I was so going to videotape the right and surprise him with the video sometime! So we get to the front of the line and there's an empty boat. The ride operator sees we are just married and asked us if we wanted the front of the boat or the back, so we said the front of the boat, so we got the whole front row of the boat to ourselves. The rest of the family was in the row behind us. I figured it was better for videotaping anyway. (He hasn't gotten the video from me yet, but one day, when he's not expecting it, he's going to get it!)

When we got off the ride, we headed over to the Peter Pan ride, another ride that we love! But as usual, I hate the loading and unloading of that ride. Can you guess what happened as I got off the ride? Yep, another smacking of my knee as I was getting out of the ride vehicle! Oh gosh, I had 2 nasty bruises on my knee from that night because I hit it in 2 different spots! Nice souvenier to bring home, right?!

We left there and headed right onto Mickey's Philharmagic....I love this ride!

Riley, in his glasses. Roy jokes that he looks like Rob Zombie

Headed to the Snow White ride from there, since there was no wait, and AIL is a huge Snow White fan. By then the party had just been starting, it was a little bit after 7, and we saw the first case of the CM working the ride have to deny someone trying to get on the ride because they didn't have a wrist band on and they directed the person to the front gates. They did a great job of that and while I'm not sure that they headed to the front gate, at least they were told what was going on. The last time we had gone to the party, they done the close the park, clear out everyone that wasn't going to the party out while getting everyone with a wrist band to one area of the park. We saw several instances this time where we had to show our wrist band to get from one area to the next, get on rides, etc. They seemed to do a great job of making sure it was just party guests that were doing what they paid the extra money for!

Once we left the Snow White ride, I saw that no one was at the Sword in the Stone. Since we had gotten the first picture there 2 years ago, I've made Roy got back up with whoever we've got with us and take a picture. So this time it was Roy and Riley:

Those pictures always make great scrapbooking pages!

Ok...off to get some work done...I'll try to come back later today to update some more, at least finish our evening at MNSSHP. The one thing about going to the party and being at MK mainly after dark, I never get that many pictures since my camera doesn't do nighttime pictures all that great.

Well, since some of my new found kin in the Thread Killers thread might now be heading over to read my Trip Report, I figure I better stopping killing my own thread here and add more to my Trip Report

Plus, I'm stuck here at work today with nothing to do. Seriously, I work for a company that does government contract work, and um, yeah, the government is closed today so who do they think we are going to do business with?! It's just me and my boss, and I'm hoping that he'll call it a day early.

Anyway....where did I leave off...ah, yes, the Sword in the Stone pictures....

First, I think it goes without saying that as we can to candy stops during the party, we'd stop and get some candy. Some of the lines weren't so bad, some were horrrendous! (Did I spell that word right?!) For instance, we were going to do the Alice Treat Trail from ToonTown to Tomorrowland and it was ridiculous, so we decided to go back later and try it. But for the most part, the lines weren't too bad.

I also have to put a disclaimer and say that we didn't get too many pictures that night either. For 2 reasons....first, our camera doesn't take good night shots, or if it does, we just haven't learned out to work it to do so. The second reason is my DH decided to be in charge of the camera and put me in charge of the videocamera, and well, he just does not take pictures like I do! So yeah, our pictures from the night were limited.

Anyway, after we finished the Sword in the Stone picture, we decided to head towards Tomorrowland, and to our surprise, we passed by the Winne The Pooh ride with no wait at all. That was amazing to us, we've never seen it with any wait less that 10 minutes at least, so no wait to us was insane! Since there was no wait, we decided to ride that. Once we left the ride, we decided to go through ToonTown and the Treat Trail to get to Tomorrowland, but that was the first time when the line was ridiculously long and we decided to try it again later in the evening. We back tracked and headed towards Tomorrowland the other way and went straight for the Buzz Lightyear ride. That is my favorite ride, even though I suck at it! Roy kicked my booty on it, like always, but hey, it's a fun ride, and that's all that matters, right?! I just keep telling myself that anyway! Oh, and can anyone guess what I did when I got off this ride vehicle? If you guessed I bumped my knee, give yourself a pat on the back!

When we left Tomorrowland, I'm not sure why, but we headed towards the front of the caste. I think it's because we were going to go towards Adventureland for UIL to try to find a turkeyleg if they were available...he really wanted one. Anyway, since it was crowded up there, people waiting for the parade, we walked around by the stage in front of the castle and realized that there were some villians out doing pictures. Since we hadn't met any villians yet, we decided we needed to stop and get some pictures.

First we met Malificent

Then Jafar, who was actually very nice to us, maybe it was me telling him how handsome he was

On to Frollo....Riley wasn't getting the villain thing and couldn't understand why Frollo wouldn't shake his hand...
100_3157.jpg

Now, while we were getting our picture with Frollo, we didn't see that UIL had jumped in line for the Evil Queen to save a spot for us...I'm not one for spot saving in lines, so if I had known, I would have told him to let someone else go, but he got to the front of the line with the Evil Queen just as we were finishing with Frollo, so he called us over and we ran over to not hold things up. Thank goodness he was the last one in the line, they closed the line with him/us. When we ran over there, the Queen said 'Hurry up, I don't have all night" and I said "I'm so sorry ma'am" and she said "You should be". Love those villains and how in character they are!

I'm honestly not sure where we went from there, I'm thinking we got sidetracked and decided to head back and try the treat trail, only because the parade was getting ready to start and we knew it was going to be crazy trying to get over towards where he could get a turkey leg at, and we figured we could go the back way around, through Fantasyland and that direction to get where he could look for one. So we decided to head back towards the Treat Trail first and try that, since there was so many people waiting for the parade. This time we had a much easier time getting in line, the line was moving a lot quicker. We also found out that Alice was there, taking pictures and so we had to stop and see her, since she was one we hadn't met yet.

When she saw me, she asked if I was really just married or if that was my costume, and when I told her that we were just married, she was so excited for us and congratulated us. She also took note of Riley's costume and said there were so many pirates that she was seeing! When we took the picture, she asked Roy if she could take his arm, and of course he said yes.

After we said goodbye to Alice, we headed on our way and got our bags filled with more candy. On the other side, we decided to take a bathroom break and just rest our feet for a few minutes, before we were on our way again. This time, heading towards LIbery Square/Frontierland and that way. As we were walking, around, we decided it might be time to find a spot or something for the fireworks, so UIL told us to go ahead and he would find us, call us to find out where we were later. So we walked through Adventureland, and I finally found the hidden character spot, the one that I kept hearing about but never knew where it was at. But yes, I found it! And we went in and there was Rafiki, who we skipped since we've met him many times before, and we jumped in the line for Tarzan, Jane and Terk. And of course as soon as we jumped in line, Tarzan left, and then Terk was having a wardrobe malfunction and had to leave, so we were left with just Jane. Not that we were complaining, because we have not met her before, but we wanted the other 2 as well. When we met her, she told us that they would be back out soon and to come back. We promised we would.

After we left her line, we decided to go find a spot for the fireworks. I've heard about a great spot to watch fireworks, and I thought I had found it this time, but nope, not the spot I had read about. We were right in front of the Crystal Palace though, so it wasn't that bad of a spot to watch from. No pictures of the fireworks because of the above mentioned reasons with my camera. We only got video, which of course I don't know how to get it off the tapes, onto the computer and then onto here.

After the fireworks, AIL & UIL decided to rest at one of the tables for a bit, and since he couldn't find his turkey leg, he decided to find something else to eat. We had time before the parade, as well as all the good spots were filled up so we weren't going to be able to see it anyway, so we ran back over to where the character meeting room was at to see if we could meet Tarzan and Terk yet, and yay, they were there! This time Jane had gone in. Tarzan was great, going through Riley's bag, picking things out, asking him what it was. He looked at Riley's pirate hair and said they had the same type of hair, which was cute. He asked us where we were from and if we had a tree house and could they come visit our tree house. Terk was so exicted when we told her yes. Oh, and I almost forgot, when she saw our pins and my ears and realized we were just married, she did a little flip for us. Too cute!
100_3161.jpg

After we left them, we decided to go to Baloo's line, and it was fun because the song Bear Necessities was playing and he was dancing to it. So when it was our turn, he had us dancing with him. And since I love that song, I told him and he gave me the thumbs up and made the motion of he loved it too.
