2 days - one park or park to park tickets?

Our family of seven (2 adults, 5 kids) is visiting Universal in early November. We plan on doing two full days one each at IOA and US. For about $100 more we can get park to park tickets. I'm tempted to go for the park to park but not sure we'd need them. $100 can go a long way...like one park meal for our family.

If you are going to be there for 4 days then the park to park may bot be worth it. Depends on the hours too. if everything is closing early like 5 ish then don't worry about it. Also, I believe you can upgrade once you get there if you change your mind.
Make a list of what you really want to do/see and what you really want to do /see more than once and that should help you decide if you need"hopper" tickets.

I'm a fan of park to park tickets. IOA isn't a huge park and can be done without a full day (haven't been there since Harry Potter opened, though). It's nice to start at one park and then head over to the other to see a few attractions or rides too. The park hours do matter too, though. If they are closing early when you go, then park to park probably wouldn't be worth it. Check the hours for your dates . We have gone with our 4 young children, who were infants and toddlers, and had no problems spending the whole day dashing around.

I read it as saying they plan to be in the parks for two days total.

Park to park is convenient but not strictly necessary. I would make a rough plan of top priorities and if you notice that the list skews towards attractions in a certain park you might want to consider park to park. There is plenty to do in each park to keep you busy for a day though so one day in each park isn't unreasonable.

We did one day in each park in July and did not get park to park tickets, we stuck with the one park option. We enjoyed both days and didn't miss park hopping. In fact it probbably made use explore each park a little more and discover and enjoy some rides/attractions that we may not have done.

If WWoHP/FJ is your main reason for visiting - get to IAO before opening and ride FJ first and explore the WWoHP, do the rest of the park, then go back to WWoHP near park closing to ride FJ again.

Personnally I would save the money and have a nice meal in Citywalk after the park on one of those days. Also keep in mind that the parks close quite early at that time of year, park hopping would be good if the parks were open till late in the evening but maybe not so much when the parks close at 6 or 7pm.

We are going the first week of Nov and not doing park to park. I don't think it's worth it but we never get park hoppers at Disney either, not really worth the money in my opinion.

Buy the cheaper tickets and if you find you really need park-to-park you can upgrade them at Guest Services.
