I posted a while back asking about AK, and almost everyone said it's worth doing.

However, I checked out some of the attractions, and showed them to my girls (including a video of a couple).

They have zero interest in Expedition Everest, Dinosaur, or Kali rapids (neither likes water slides). Is there anything left at AK after that? I know the Lion King show and the Nemo show are good....and I've also heard the parade is good, but not sure if those things alone are worth it.

On the other hand, I've heard you can easily use two days in Epcot. My oldest girl is fascinated by anything to do with Space and science. My girls are going to be 10 and (almost) 7.

So my dilemma is take a risk with AK even though they probably won't do the headliners, or go for the extra day at Epcot.

We skipped AK last time, so I feel bad skipping it again, but it just might not be for my family. :confused3

Honestly, I would skip it. It sounds like Epcot is better suited for your family, and that's okay! :goodvibes

If you have hoppers, you could compromise with Epcot 1.5 days and AK .5 days (you can see a lot at AK in 0.5 days).

BTW, Kali River Rapids is not a "waterslide".

There will be plenty for you and your family to see whether you choose AK or Epcot. :)

Thanks everyone...I sort of feel that way, but yet I hate to think I am missing out on something.

We don't have hoppers - I thought of that, but this would be the only reason to get them, and for one day it wouldn't be worth it.

My other concern is that we are doing the CP package at Epcot, and staying for illuminations. I think it would be easier on my 6 (will be 7 in Disney) year old if we didn't have to be in Epcot from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. This way, we can split up epcot - do a morning day, and then and afternoon/evening day (the day we have the CP package.)

Personally, I wouldn't skip it, but I'm also a huge animal lover. If your family has little interest in nature exhibits, Animal Kingdom may not be for you. It's definitely one of the less ride-centric parks, which doesn't appeal to everyone.

Without hoppers nor great interest in AK attractions I would suggest 2 days at EP and a visit to AKL for a meal and some savannah viewing.
