2 day trip: 2MK or 1 Epcot 1 MK?

Hello,

I am taking my two nieces (age 4-6) to WDW for two days the weekend before Easter. They are princess freaks and love Frozen. My question is, should I do 2 days at the MK and take things slow, or do 1 MK and 1 Epcot day so they have a chance to meet Anna and Elsa? My husband will not want to wait if the lines for A&E are still really long, and we are going to have dinner at Cinderella's castle so we don't really need Akershus. What do you think? I have never gone with kids so I don't know how much they will appreciate Epcot at that age, even though DH and I love it!

Any advice appreciated. Thanks!

Given that the lines for A&E are 2+ hours - I'd skip Epcot if that's your main reason for going there! Easter is going to be crazy, so 2 days a MK will probably get you more bang for your buck.

My DD (7) has loved EPCOT since she was 2, and it is actually a 2 day park for us, BUT, I would say if you only have 2 days and if your nieces are going to want to see Anna and Elsa if they go to EPCOT, it might be best to stick to MK.

There is definitely plenty to keep them occupied at MK for 2 days. I don't foresee Anna and Elsa's lines being much shorter by your trip. Rapunzel's line stayed totally crazy for the first year. Anna and Elsa are hugely popular. There will definitely be a ton of people in April who have not been to WDW since the movie came out and who are all rushing to see Anna and Elsa. I saw a couple of reports on the DIS this week that that the line is running about 2 1/2 hours. People are making reservations at Akershus just to get back to Norway so someone can get in line at 8:00 (the rest of the family goes to eat and someone is stuck in line instead!). On a 2 day trip, I wouldn't want to waste at least 2 1/2 hours in a character line. While EPCOT can be really fun for kids that age, if you think that they will insist on seeing Anna and Elsa or be upset if they don't get to see them when they know they are in the park where they are, then I would probably stick to MK. But if you do go to EPCOT, some of DD's favorites are Soarin, Nemo, Living with the Land, the Aquariums, Turtle Talk with Crush, Journey into Imagination, the play area after Journey into Imagination, Club Cool (unless you don't want to sugar them up), the Donald Duck boat ride inside of Mexico, all the acts around World Showcase, the characters, the kidcot stations (now that she is older she likes to use the $10 passport to get stamps on in every country instead of Duffy or Perry on a stick, the Agent P (Phineas and Ferb) missons (those can take a day on their own if you do them all!), all the entertainment throughout WS, and you may not want to spend the money on it, but she loves Pick a Pearl in Japan with the whole little ceremony they do etc.

Thanks for the advice. I think I will go with two days at MK. I want them to experience all the things the MK has to offer (rides and characters) without running them too ragged! They won't want to do coasters, and Splash Mtn is closed during my trip, so I think two days should at MK will be perfect. We have lunch plans at CRT and dinner the first day at Crystal Palace, so we will knock off some characters that way.

I am so excited to take them. I have never gone with kids, and they are first timers!
