When did the ticket minimum change from 1 day to a 2 day ticket? I have tickets from a couple trips that were not used and am wondering if they are a 1 day or 2 day:confused3

Do you mean a 2 day ticket minimum for free dining? because it's still a 1 day ticket for regular packages.

The year free dining changed was 2010.

Can you still do the DDP if staying on property, but your tickets are ones left over from a previous trip that have the no expiration option on them?

There is a minimum ticket purchase required to get DDP. One-day base ticket for paid DDP, two-day base ticket for Free Dining. You can use whichever tickets you like, but you must buy minimum new tickets. We have taken our dining plan tickets home to use for a future trip. They are fully upgradable. Or, you can sell them, if unused.

There is a very short list of guests who are eligible to get DDP without buying tickets as well, assuming they are staying at a Disney resort.

DVC members booking through Member Services
Annual passholders
Military or Department of Defense personnel eligible for military tickets
Disney cast members at certain times

That's it, everyone else has to buy at least a 1 day ticket per person, or 2 days for free dining, as part of a resort room package.
