First of all she revised it AFTER I posted and secondly it said right there not to post it. I didnt say it meanly I was just pointing out that they stated they wont be able to offer these specials if they keep getting posted. I dont think we want to see that happen.

You said "our specials" like it was your company that sent out the email. I gather that's why she asked what company you represent.

Oh, I guess without the quote marks and the typo, I thought (and apparently so did "dinks") that those were Diane's remarks, not a quote from the email. Oops.

Yes to clarify that was a quote from the post the original poster made which came from the email...it specifically asked not to post on chat boards or they wont be able to continue offering the specials..

I guess I need to respond to all of this...

DianeV is right, I didn't remove the post until she mentioned it, I was oblivious, I think I read part of the email, then got interrupted by one of my kids and never came back so when I saw it again I thought I'd finished it.

On another note, though, DianeV, your message had a very rude tone to it, whether intentional or not. No one is arguing that my post wasn't supposed to be there, I just didn't appreciate the way you told me about it. And it came off even worse because you didn't use the "quote" option for the boards. I was offended when I read your post, there were much more polite ways that it could've been brought to my attention.

Thank-you everyone who has posted on this, I'm glad I'm not the only one who read it that way.

I read DianeV's post as a humorous jab, not a mean spirited one. Unfortunately, such emotions are hard to convey in text; I've been posting on boards (and before that, netnews for you oldtimers) since the mid-eighties, and I *still* sometimes come across like a meanie when I meant to be lighthearted. That's why I use emoticons, likt this:

This is a case of no harm no foul. The OP made a simple mistake, the second poster pointed it out (perhaps a bit hastily, but with good intentions) and it was corrected. Exactly what is supposed to happen!

Exactly- you are correct. I just would hate to see these offers go away. I didnt know about the "quote" part and thats why I separated that part from MY part. Sorry it was taken wrong by some but if you think that was rude then you should try reading the discussion boards on ebay :-(((
