The limit is six per DAS, so they should say no to 10, but I’d be surprised if they did .more of 2 DAS parents and 8 kids/grandkids combination
i am one of the kid (a parent of 2 of the grandkids to DAS holder)
If you’re always going to ride together, then just put four people on one DAS and the other four people in the other DAS. No worries with the limit then because you’ll only have 5 people in each DAS.Yes we all plan to ride together - family trip. That’s why I’m a bit frustrated.

No, you don’t need two MDE accounts for this, so long as everyone is on your MDE account.I guess I do have to have two DME account in-order to do what you are suggesting ? One for each DAS ? But if so, is it difficult to do same reservations in two different DME for us 10 to ride same ride at same time?
Have you used the DAS before? If not, are you familiar with what is needed to obtain one?
I think think the confusion is 2 different things are being linked at the same time…
The first ”link” is adding the DAS to whoever it belongs to in your (or their’s) MDE
The second “link” is adding the names of the people that are going to be riding with which DAS person.
Is that clear as mud? LOL
OkI know how to get one. Parents qualify. They almost didn’t want to go, until I found about another DAS.
Unless they’ve had one before, no one really knows if they qualify until they request the DAS, since it’s not diagnosis based.I know how to get one. Parents qualify. They almost didn’t want to go, until I found about another DAS.
Yes, all 10 people can be controlled in one MDE account. Who can ride with the DAS depends on who you assign to each DAS. Being in the MDE account doesn’t automatically associate with a DAS in the same MDE account. You got it!
My question really is down to, if MY MDE hold both parents as DAS (2-DAS holder), then can I have all 10 guests in my MDE account. No one else will use MDE while in park nor register. Can all be controlled by one MDE (mine). Would all 10 guests qualify to ride with the DAS - all listed under one MDE account.
DAS holder needs an account (the CM issuing the DAS will also need to take a photo) but you could technically "control" both of those accounts behind the scenes. Make sure all members of your party are listed in the DAS holders and your own "Family and Friends" section of MDE--make sure that everyone is sharing plans. This will give you access to all members of your party and allow you to schedule same day DAS return times. It may be easier with just you handling all the reservations but be prepared, cause you're going to be looking at your phone all day, EVERYDAY! Keep in mind that f you're passing a Blue Umbrella--the CMs can also assist. Remember that you won't be able to book a return time until the DAS holder scans into the park--the app will block you--Strangely though, if you've been at say, Magic Kingdom, in the morning and then return to your hotel, you will be able to book another return time remotely, but only for the park that you've already scanned into. If you're the "Disney Planner" in your group--you probably know all the details by now but I would just recommend that you have your party split into 2 groups from the very beginning--this will ensure that you're never trying to get 2 DAS reservations for 1 person at the same time--the system doesn't allow this and will cause a lot of frustration when you're trying to book a return time--also remember that the DAS holder has to scan into each ride first--and then the rest of the party can follow--once you've gone past the 2nd scanner in the cue--you're eligible to book another return time. So, hopefully, all of that made sense and I didn't just freak you out with all the details, lol--it's actually very simple. Hope it works out well and you all have the vacation you're hoping for!You got it!

Thank you for the correction--I forget to add to my post the usual--"if anyone knows any better, feel free to correct"-lol--we all learn this way! So, to summarize, no account needed for DAS holder--but one must have all 10 members listed in "Friends and Family" to be able to schedule a return time--I guess this phrase "No one else will use MDE while in park nor register" is what's throwing me off--one way or another, Disney needs a record of the DAS holders--so they will have to "register" somehow--either with pre-registration online or in person. If my info is wrong--once again, feel free to correct, lol.
The DAS holder does not need to have an MDE account.
