2 CS for 1 TS

I have heard that you can substitute two CS credits for 1 TS credit on the DDP. For example, if I have 7 CS, 7 snacks, and 7 TS, can I use 7 snacks, 9 CS and 6 Ts? Is this true?

No. Never was, never will be.

The short answer is no. What you may have heard about, which you can read more about in the sticky thread entitled everything you want to know about the DDP, was a one-time, very temporary and long-since-expired offer by Disney during a free dining promotion when TS restaurants were so jammed that people were having a hard time just using their TS credits.

I think you can use a TS for a CS and a CS for a snack or even a TS for a snack if you want. Is that correct? You can go down, if you needed to fo some reason? So if you had a 7 day DDP you could have 21 snacks

No. Not officially possible under the DDP. In other words, you can't just walk up to (for example) Earl of Sandwich with 1 TS left on your card, order a CS meal and say you'd like to use your TS credit to pay for it. TS is for TS, CS is for CS, and SCs are for snacks. That's not to say that someone, somewhere, at some time has not "successfully" begged a CM at the front desk of their resort to convert TS for CS credits on a 1-for-1 basis (given the horrible exchange rate, it's hard to call that a true success). That has been very sporadically reported here on the DIS (and IIRC, the exchange was irreversible once done, so that's even worse), but I certainly wouldn't count on it being able to be done.

I wish we could use a TS credit for a CS meal. We have 2 TS credits to use and reservations seem impossible to get for those! (Aug 29 to Sept 1)

If you are having a hard time finding ADR for the ts, then try some of the resort restaurants. You will often have good luck at the lesser known/popular ones. Like Olivias at OKW or even some of the places at the mods

From the Dining Plan FAQ for this forum:

Can I use TS credits for CS meals?
No. During the 2006 free dining promotion, Disney did extend an offer to use TS credits for CS meals (plus two snacks and a lanyard), but that offer has expired. Prior to that offer, some (but not all) hotel front desks allowed some (but not all) guests to convert some of their remaining TS credits in the CS credits, with the understanding that once converted they cannot be converted back. However, that is not an official part of the Dining Plan, and may or may not be successful in getting them to do that for you.

Can I use two (or three) CS credits for a TS meal?
No. There is no way to combine CS credits to "pay for" a TS meal.

Can I exchange CS credits for snacks?
No. However, some eateries which support both CS and snack credits will allow you to use one CS credit for two or three snacks. That's not a standard thing, though, and it isn't necessarily consistent either.

Willbe interesting to see this year if any substitutions will be offered during the free DDP time. (LIke they did last year with a TS being available at the resort CS locations)

Only time will tell how many people are shut out.
