2 Castles, 2 Send out 2011 & Ring in 2012...12 Days of Christmas

:rotfl: Way to funny...my thought was Mike TV in Willy Wonka! I just have to patient and not take things seriously and every rude comment to heart. I know change is hard...I have to stay positive.

:lmao: that's right, I haven't seen that movie in ages:rotfl2:! Yep you just got to stay upbeat and positive with them and rant and rave to us! :goodvibes

I'm not artsy fartsy, so I don't have any great ideas for the autograph book.

My dh and ds went to see the Smurfs last night instead of us going to Universal. DS17 didn't feel well and I stayed home with him. Hopefully tonight we will hit fireworks somewhere. In the meantime, ds17 and dh are fishing. They are crazy, because just walking from the church to the car, I was dripping in sweat. It's really hot and humid in FL.

Men and their fishing...I have seen my 2 fishing in a hail/rain storm that just did not let up...ended up with about 2 inches of hail on the ground. :lmao: Then they like the ice fishing stuff...a pole, bait and who cares the weather around you!

Thanks for letting me rant. I went out shoe shopping for the kids today and ran into one of my teachers...she is one of the more supportive ones that I have and see just smiled and asked if I was ready for round 3 tomorrow! Another one sent me a text message yesterday apologizing for her behavior...I really had not noticed her giving me fits...I guess I messed up with her lunch too!

Okay I am trying to figure out what to do about an autograph book. Being a scrapbooker, with the vision of 1 album in mind for our trip I really do not think I want to have a separate autograph book...I want to put the autographs into our trip album. So how should I do this? The plain paper books just seem that...too plain and nothing exciting to get a characters attention. Then again I really do not think that my family will be standing in too many lines for characters...we have a few that I know we will seek out...Captain Hook, Tinkerbell, and Marie. Our autographs will be from mainly character dining...so we do not have to search out characters! I was thinking of maybe doing an 8 x 10 photo autograph page...designing a page for each movie or dining experience that we might want to get autographs for and have all the characters from that sign the 1 page, put that on one side of my 12 x 12 album along with actual character pictures that we take. What do you think...can we fit 4-5 autographs on 1 8x10 page? I was also thinking about doing 1 8x10 page for each country in epcot...for CMs to sign and any characters we encounter at that country.

Suggestions...I really am at a loss on what to do!

I'm glad that some of them apologized.... and show shopping? WOW I would have loved to come! I don't think that I will see the movie, I never really liked the show of the smurfs! As for the autograph book I am going to do what someone else did- if they KNEW they were going to see the character (like dining) they printed out a page from a creative disigners page that was decorated like this:
madhatter.jpg

And then they would carry around colored note cards for any characters that they ran into to sign (on the side without lines) and when they got home they would decorate that note card with a picture of the character and in a scrapbook they would put the autograph and picture on one page. I know this sounds confusing and I don't think I'm explaining it the right way. You don't have to do this, but it's just a suggestion- the dis boards have so many disigners with different autograph cards so you don't have to pick the one I showed you, you can go simpler or more dramatic!

 WHAT?!?!? You altered the schedule of educators knowing how they live by the clock everyday?? ;) <just teasing you> But I can definitely attest that there would have been grumbles at my school, too! Not from me but those lunch dates are do or die around here for some... :lmao: In the words of Emerson or Frost... "3 words to say about life... IT GOES ON." :goodvibes

Glad that part is behind you - they can start adjusting to the changes - glad some were big enough to step up and apologize or praise the changes... it's the little things that keep moving us forward. And I bet you will be a favored admin in no time at all! :goodvibes

What was I thinking...well, its Friday and I really don't want to be here until 4 pm...and I am sure that no one else wants to either...that is what I get for thinking....:lmao:

I am not sure about this admin thing at all...up until now I have not been seen that way...and so happy about that. My position is between the rock and the hard place...not a teacher and not a true admin...I get to sit the fence and keep harmony between the two...not the best place to be, or the easiest...but I have learned how to keep my mouth shut (which is a goood thing)....

Heather-
I had thought of that idea too, but I just hate carrying around that many cards...and I think in the end that would take up too much space in my album...picture and autograph for each individual character. I really like the idea...just hate having to scrap that much. When things settle down at school in the next month I am going to work on some "movie" autograph pages and "theme" park pages...and see how I like that....

That sounds like a good idea! Yeah now that you say that it is going to be a lot! I don't know. maybe after you explain your idea I could see that or maybe just really use an autograph book and have him decorate that after the trip with stickers and crayons?

I thought I was done with ADRs a couple of months ago...but guess what I messed around with today....:rotfl2:

Let's see...I added Sci Fi Diner for 8:05 pm on the 29th after F!. We are eating at Mama Melrose at 1:30 for the F! package. So I figure we will be hungry by then...and really don't want to have to deal with City Walk after we get back to RPR that evening. Not sure if I will keep this, just playing it by ear for that day.

I also canceled one of my 8:05 Crystal Palace ADR...this one for January 6...departure day. After thinking this over it would be best just to hang near BWV that morning with marathon weekend starting (not sure what will be ran that morning) and I am not sure about our departure time. So I booked Kouzzina for 7:45 am...that way we get breakfast in before any park opens, stay at the Boardwalk and we can decide which park to head to before we depart for the airport. I really wanted to do Kona, but I just don't think we can work it in the plans anywhere! :sad2: But I am excited about Kouzzina, and I really like the menu for breakfast!

Return flights are making me sad...while the non-budget airlines fares are still the same (no drop in prices, but no raise either), Southwest has gone up $40 per ticket for the flight I have been stalking... I should have booked a couple of weeks ago when the flight was lower and the darn tax thing was in effect...I would have saved almost $300 on this flight! I guess I will keep stalking...I keep telling myself hold out until midSeptember!

I like this idea for your son...decorate his own pages!

I really am not sure who I am doing the autographs for...myself or the kids. I really do not see us standing in lines to get autographs or pictures. The only autographs I really want are Tinkerbell & Marie (for Ab), Mary Poppins & Ariel(for myself) and Captain Hook (for Boo)...Goo just needs his picture with Lightning and Mater. I figure we are going a lot of character meals and will pick up the main characters there! Then any pother character in the parks are a bonus., but I want to be prepared. I am thinking a princess page (akerhaue), pooh page (Crystal Palace), Chef Mickey page, Cinderella page (1900 Park Fare)...and then DHS, Epcot+(each country), MK, and AK page...should not be too difficult...:rotfl: RIGHT?

I am just a darn picky scrapbooker...and I just don't want to end up with a separate autograph album or have millions of pages for autographs to have to scrap in my main album.

I love both these ideas and think i may try to combine them. this kids have tons of autographs in the traditional books from the last 3 trips so something new would be a welcome addition for them, plus with the crowds and all we are going to really limit character lines, with the exception of Phineas & Ferb, mickey and the fairies. we have a few meals, 1900 park fair, CP, we will do pages for those. I think them making their own will occupy a few weekends and get them even more excited for the trip!

I like your breakfast plans! You make me giggle though... you are so a tinkerer... just like me. I am always thinking might want to change something:rotfl:

As for the return flights. YUK. have you looked at the flight predictions on bing? Also..just a thought. Oribitz has price assurance and then of course, SW will issue a credit if the flight goes down. If you book essentially through either and then the price goes down you could get a refund (of sorts) Then if it were to actually go up...you would at least be locked in. Ultimately that is what made me comfortable booking my return flight. It still has not gone down below what I paid, but... :woohoo:

Honestly I can't help you with the scrapbook ideas or how or what goes into arranging them- I have only scrap booked once and that was this last spring for each of our kids on the soccer team (8 in all).

As far as the plans go I like them! There are quit a few that I want to add, but I can't find room for and I know that DH and DS aren't going to be able to eat that close together!

I keep hearing everywhere about the airline prices, I feel bad! My sister in law was going to take DS to Idaho to see my other sister in law and niece and bring home my mother in law, but the ticket for just Monk was $430 and then my sister in law too so it was too much for the short 4 days that they could go! I hope that they come down for you guys though!

You and Ann are bad influences on me... I see you both tinkering and it gets my mind going... feel pretty good about ADRs but am considering an earlier flight still on our arrival day... :rotfl: Am not stalking yet, however... guess I should. :rotfl2:

Well...tomorrow Goo starts Kindergarten, so FINALLY today I decided we needed to go and buy his uniforms (waiting til the last moment...). Afterwards he and I went out for frozen yogurt. I don't know about your area of the country but yogurt bars have suddenly become the rage around here. We now have 6 places in less than a year open. Basically they have about 10 machines with different flavored frozen yogurt...you fill your bowl, then pick toppings from the topping bar (from fruit, to nuts, candy...you name it) and then you weigh and pay). Today they had cherry amaretto yogurt...I think I have found my favorite.

Here is my little guy...new haircut, thanks dad for getting that done for me today too! I can't believe how fast he has grown up!

goo looks so cute! We have some of those yogurt places. I love it bc I can get a very small quantity and don't feel like I'm killing my diet. I like to go right after a massage or shopping out in the heat and get exactly $1.39 worth of mint or vanilla with coconut and chocolate chips at 39c an ounce. That'll do me! :thumbsup2

Okay, I have decided if I can't win at Ann's game I am just gonna start my own game! And since I have been watching so many movies, it is going to be...

Disney Movie Trivia

I will post a question each day about a Disney movie. Answer the question and you get a point. Add any other information about that movie that I DEEM interesting (it's my game I get to decide what is interesting) :lmao:, give me ideas for a movie night around this movie, or tell me about a past movie night I did for this movie and you get bonus points!

Today's Question....

Which character's from Disney/Pixar's A Bug's Life are acrobats, don't speak English, and rip off one of Hopper's antennas?

I love games! Tuck and Roll (the pill bugs) are the acrobats. They act like cannonballs and speak all garbly. I don't remember much about this movie, so I can't offer suggestions for movie night, except maybe making some of those pudding cups with oreo crumbs on top to look like dirt, with gummy worms and stuff.

Thanks...I think he is pretty cute...blonde hair, blue eyes...and a tan to die for!

I love the yogurt shops...but I really wish they would have smaller bowls. It is so hard to judge how much you have with these HUGE bowls. Plus...the kids think they have to fill them to the top! The toppings are fun, but I am just down to the yogurt and sometimes a little fresh fruit.

He's a cutie!

We do not have any yogurt bars that I know of. We have TCBY but they've been around a long time.
