2 Castles, 2 Send out 2011 & Ring in 2012...12 Days of Christmas

OKay Friends....I need your help!

I am looking at touring plans to arrange my days. I think it would be awesome to end our trip in the MK, but according to touring plans that would not be my best option. Tell me what you think...

2nd to last day:
Epcot Crowd Level 5.7-AVOID
MK Crowd Level 1.6-BEST

Last Day: (Really Seems this day is a wash between the two parks as levels are almost the same)
Epcot Crowd Level 3.9-BEST
MK Crowd Level 3.2-NEUTRAL

Should I go with:

Option 1:
Next to Last Day-MK
Last Day-Epcot

OR

Option 2:
Next to Last Day-Epcot
Last Day-MK

*** Is it worth passing up a 1.6 Crowd Level Day at MK to end our trip at MK on a 3.2 Crowd Level Day?

Hi

I like to spend my last day at the Magic Kingdom, I cry when I leave,

I really not much help with crowd level days, I did not check them when we planned our days I did not think about it, I bet ours are all wrong.I wonder what the crowds level for our days are.

Also GLAD to hear you doggy is better. It hard when pets are sick they are such a big part of the family.

:hug: I KNOW!!! its just...UGH! i cant decide and with 7 people to have choices and wants... i have never had this much trouble getting ready for my ADR day before, maybe its a new disease... DIsney Funkitis Supremis or DFS for short? ;) yep, ive lost it :lmao:

and for your other questions, i would do MK last. I am having the same choice issues, but my last day is Dec 22 and everything is at a 9 CL or higher, with MK having AM EMH and being a neutral park, EP the best, but we just have to end there as we cant begin there due to crowd levels and such, the rest... boy i hate trying to choose days during a crowded time and please everyone... im just hoping we get the food we want.

It is official...I WANT TO SCREAM...my plan is just not coming together.

Okay I feel a little better (not much)! Of course my last day at the parks is on a day that MK has AM EMH...so that would mess up totally wanting to get an early CP ADR before the park opens...so I guess that we will just end our stay at Epcot with Illuminations (cause I can't figure out where to do illumnations without wearing everyone out completely or getting up the next morning for rope drop being too tired).

OR

Maybe I will add another day to our tickets and opt for departure morning breakfast at CP instead of Chef Mickey's.

Suggestions?

Oh, Tammie.. I have no suggestions. I feel your pain though. I spent a ton of time on my spreadsheet last night. The thought of adding on one end... taking away on the other. I have put together different scenarios and none of them work well. One has us going to AK two days in a row...in the center of the trip. Another has the first Mk being like day 5 of the trip. :confused3 Nothing is working right...and I am just looking at park hours. I have not even looked at crowd level. I can't imagine just how much more complicated that would/will make things.

Adding the breakfast to the departure morning might be a good thing... a way to wave goodbye. If you can swing it with time...then I think it would be good. Would you be going to the park that day then? When you say add a day to your ticket, do you mean flight or park or hotel?

Good luck!!!

Ok, so I'm back and all caught up on your report! Love the Incredibles night, believe it or not last week at one point I actually thought to myself "I wonder what movie Tammie did this week", lol.

As far as your last goes, I always want to end our trip with MK but somehow we always end it with Epcot. I say go with whichever you think would be best, the lower crowds would probably be the deciding factor for me!

:hug:Ahhh...you thought of me! I thought you guys too! Wondering how much fun you were having...Emily at BBB!

Adding a day to my park ticket...

I am hoping to get an early to midafternoon flight out...although not sure that will happen. I had planned Chef Mickey's for the last breakfast...see the castle and say goodbye to Mickey. Now that I think more...that probably would be the best scenerio in case we have to do a late morning flight.

I think going with the lowest projected crowds is probably my best bet, no matter which park that might be for the last day. For the most part TOURING PLANS crowd levels work with where I wanted to be on most days. And then getting ridemax to help me plan those days...UGH!!!

I still have no "WDW" hours for January, no definite flight plans, and no Candlelight Processional ADR...:headache::headache::headache: There are just too many factors in play at the moment.

I feel your pain Tammie, i have the same issues, we LOVE to start and end with MK, but with hours, TP crowd levels, etc, everything is pointing to us starting at DHS for our first day, spending the first day at MK when there is a MVMCP (which we will not be attending) and then finishing MK with AM EMH, i hate having to drag everyone out to get to the park for 7:00-7:30am on pour last day, and my birthday is on the 20th and that is our AK day from what i can make out, that is not my fav park and ill just have to suck it up from the looks of it

ADR picture looking a little better...maybe tomorrow I will be able to post my ideas and get some feedback!

No Dinner & a Movie Tonight...just a movie...heading off to the drive in with some family and friends to see POTC4 pirate:and X-Men! Love summer time at the drive in!

Our birthdays are very close together. I am quickly getting over the fact that I will not be in WDW on Christmas...but leaving before my birthday makes me kinda :sad2: Hopefully you will be able to take some time for yourself that day and do something that you want to do. If AK is not your favorite park, maybe you could go to dinner at a favorite resort?? :goodvibes

I love the incredibles night-how funny they relate him to Jack-Jack- and so happy for you that Cami is feeling better!

I am not sure if anyone else looks at the Dad's Site...he makes me laugh and I follow him on Facebook. He has a blog up today about Christmas time at WDW along with links to resources. Here is the link:

I'm going to take a look, thank you!

I am going to do MK last day because I feel like that will really have a nice good-bye to Disney for us! I'm not sure what you are looking for though- I hear that dinner at CP is really good too so that might be an option for you!

Summer Movie Afternoons
June 2, 2011
Double Feature:
ET & Men in Black

For those that have been following along on my PTR for a while you know that I have undertaken the task to make sure Ab, Boo, and Goo are ready for their Christmas surprise visits to Universal Studios and WDW. Ab and Boo have seen most of the Disney movies, but it has been awhile…while poor Goo has not has the same experiences. I found a great thread and then another wonderful PTR that serve as my inspiration for this family activity. During the summer, I am trying to squeeze in Summer Movie afternoons at least 1 time a week in addition to our weekly Dinner and a Movie Night.

Summer movies are a fond memory of my childhood. I can remember my grandmother taking us to the theaters each week for some movie they would show in the afternoons. Our theaters do something similar here, but in the mornings…and with my summer school schedule in June it is impossible to go. Then in July we try to cram in family trips and such, so that is out too!

Our first Summer Movie Afternoons ended up being a double feature of ET and Men in Black (yes, not Disney movies but very much needed for our Universal portion of 2 Castles). Can I admit this? I have NEVER seen ET. I am not sure why I remember my mom taking my 2 younger sisters…but I don’t remember why I did not go back in the early 80s. Then for the next 30 years…I guess I just was not interested until now. It was a good movie, not sure what the hype was all about and why this movie has lasted so long. The boys loved it! Men in Black…let’s just say that while I really like the movie (and have seen it before) I had forgotten all of the bathroom type humor, not so appropriate for my 5 year old, but the boys loved it too (boy humor I suppose). We went on line and looked up both rides at Universal and they boys are really excited about MIB and shooting things…boys!

Menu: Flying Saucers (stopped and picked up some tostados on my way home from summer school), Planetary Fruit Salad (melon balls), and Alien Juice (lime soda)

Movie Snacks: Reese’s Pieces & Milky Ways

Dessert: Cosmic Galaxy Stars (Dippin Dots)

Activities: Flying Saucers (tossed Frisbees through the water sprinkler to cool off…did I mention it was near 100 that afternoon) and Alien Goo (cornstarch, water, and green food coloring)

Sorry no pictures of the Flying saucers…my memory card decided to crash on me! Time to get a new one I suppose!

This week...Bug's Life

Hello! I hope it's not too late to join in your PTR! Read your first post and the cast. Your husband's idea of a vacation is the same as my dh and my oldest son's.

Isn't it awesome once you get bit by the Disney bug? I hope your family get's hooked on WDW too! Our whole family has it bad for Disney, but me and youngest ds have it the most, lol!!

Never too late to join in! :) So glad you are coming along, please feel free to give me any feedback...

I love vacation at our cabin and fishing...but sometimes you just have to do something different. I can only hope he gets bitten...

Guess what I signed up to do this summer at our local community college with a partnership at a local bakery...

How the heck does Buddy and Duff do this stuff? I am thinking that I may be a cake decorating school drop out (kinda like the girl on Grease and beauty school). I have always wanted to take this class, and the kids are finally old enough that I can slip away one night a week and do something fun for myself...did not realize fun was going to stress me out! All we did was a scallop and reverse scallop boarder...boy do I feel like a failure!!! Guess I am going to have to practice a lot this week!

Oh your a lucky duck to do the class! I would love to learn- I try to do, but it doesn't turn out too well- this is a cake I decorated for my son's science birthday party, it was a bear pa with the ears cut off and decorated to look like Einstein.

I know sad and pathetic! Let me know how the class turns out though! Also how was the POTC4? Did you ever get to the movies.... you didn't write a review for us! I like the double feature night! We have been so busy these last few weeks that I didn't even get to fit anything in!
Did you ever get your days planned out? You make Adr's coming up here i a few weeks right?
