2 Breakfast Questions

I have two breakfast questions. We have eaten at Chef Mickey's on every trip (about 8 times). My kids don't seem that interested in the characters this year. My youngest (11) says he still wants to go because he likes the food. Is there another non-character meal that would have a similar buffet with Mickey waffles, pancakes, etc. I know he can get those individually but I think he enjoys the buffet. What about the Wave of American Flavors?

We like to get into Magic Kingdom early one morning with a breakfast reservation. We like to take pictures on Main St. first, etc. Where is rope drop these days? Is this still a worth while idea?

Yes, the Wave has both an a la carte menu and a huge breakfast buffet with Mickey waffles, pancakes, etc.

I've never eaten at Chef Mickey's, but have done the buffet at The Wave 3 times, most recently last Wednesday. I don't think of it as huge, but it has a plentiful selection including Mickey Waffles and the food is really good. It is my go-to TS breakfast.

Rope drop is different. Everyone is let in 1 hour before opening. The welcome is now at the castle forecourt. So those pictures w no one? pretty much gone

not a buffet, but garden grill breakfast is a personal favorite. The restaurant turns ever so slowly. The breakfast is a little bit of everything w the best cinnamon bun ever

i think this place has the best character interaction. Pluto is just the best here. PPO also positions you very well for Soarin’ and living w the land.

I would do Trail’s End Buffet instead if you need something close to MK. If can go anywhere Boma at AKL is the best breakfast buffet on property.

Garden Grill in Epcot or Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom would fit your needs

We like the Wave for breakfast. Nice and quiet and the buffet is quite good and definitely has Mickey waffles. The a la carte is good too but I really like their eggs, yoghurt parfaits, bacon and a few other items on the buffet so for the price I thought it was a better option than a la carte.

Crystal palace is my husbands favorite breakfast down there. It’s always a must do for him
