We are headed to OKW this january(hopefully) and I was wondering about max. capacity. Can we get 5 adults, 3 kids and 2 babies under 2 in there comfortably? Do I have to tell Disney about the babies? They don't need tickets.

The occupancy of a two bedroom villa is eight plus ONE under the age of three.

Actually, I was recently told by MS that 2 kids under 3 are allowed in a 2 bedroom. She said that rules allow 1 under 3 in the 1 bedroom part, and 1 under 3 in the studio part, so therefore 2 under three in a 2 bedroom.

I'm not trying to start a debate about rules v. what MS says. But her thinking did make sense to me (assuming it was a non-dedicated two bedroom).

I wouldn't see an issue with that either, but I wonder if they would bring an additional Pac N Play if it wasn't a lock off. If it is a lock-off, both rooms will have a Pac N Play anyway.

The original question was not whether you could get this number of people in "legally", but whether it could be done comfortably. In my opinion, it can't.

Although there are places to sleep for the adults and children, and the Pac n Play issue has already been addressed, I truly don't think it will be "comfortable".

You will need to be able to have a quiet place for the babies when they need to nap or go to bed, which means someone else will not be able to use their "assigned" sleeping place and will have to spill over into someone else's area.

The DVC police probably won't get to you on this, but I don't think you'll fully enjoy the wonderful accomodations, either. :sad2:

IMO, the answer to both sides of the question is no. But you should ask MS to see what they say if you chose to proceed, they will be the authority to allow or deny your options.

If my kids would be the only nappers in the bunch, would this work? My niece and nephews are older and they don't take breaks during the day. My kids would be the only ones taking naps. I was thinking about the baby sleeping with us(If there was only one p'n'p) and the 2 year old in the pac'n'play. It just seems silly to get a Grand Villa or a 2bedroom and a Studio because of one baby who doesn't take up that much space. i don't know what to do yet.

if you were staying at one of the other resorts then no.

but OKW is bigger - much bigger.

I think you will be fine.

the p'n'p are in the closets - so before you call housekeeping for another one - look - there are 3 closets.

you have got a king bed (master), queen sleeper sofa, and 2 queen beds in the other room.

besides WDW attitude is the sooner the kids start on WDW property the longer they will kept coming back.

don't decide until you get there - which bedroom you will have. I understand the want of the master for the owner - but with your kids sleeping with you - you might be better off in the 2nd bedroom - look at them first.

I would go with a dedicated - only one way in or out. with little kids hopefully someone would see them before they got outside.

if you take the second bedroom and it is a non-dedicated - in the bedroom would be a door to the outside. I would think a little one would have a problem not opening that door. (never under estimate children and they ability to get outside)

in a non-dedicated they can easily lock the doors between the rooms - and get themselves stuck. So always and I mean always have your key with you.

I never thought about it, but it does make sense. I doubt MS would give the OP a problem with an extra infant, but I would still call to check. If MS says Ok, it doesn't matter what anyone else says. :goodvibes

It sounds like the 2 youngest kids are yours. If so, the master bedroom would work for you, your dh, and the 2 kiddies. The first few years our 2 girls always winded up in the king bed with us leaving the living room empty. Just be sure to ask for bed rails. Housekeeping will bring them right over, subject to availability of course. If one of the babies slept in the pac-n-play, even better, mine never liked it. My girls are finally sleeping on the sofa bed in the LR and we are getting the bed to ourselves - yeah! :cheer2:

I would put the 3 other adults and 1 kid in the 2nd bedroom and 2 kids on the sofa bed. This is assuming that the 2 kids are willing to sleep alone in the LR.
The advantage with a GV would be that no one has to sleep in the LR.

Good luck with figuring out the sleeping arrangements.
