Are you dead set on BC. OKW has a laundry Room. Not a laundry closet like some of the other dvc resorts. You could do a 1 bedroom there. The 2 bdrm at BCV is 1075 square feet. The 1 bdrm at OKW is 1005. You do the math.

Great thought! That laundry room at OKW is huge!

We did it when our son was a toddler too. We couldn't get a 1 br so went with the 2 br. I would bring a monitor as we felt kind of far from him at night. I too felt like I was wasting points at the time, but it made for a better vacation. Now we have three kids so 2 br's are a necessity.

Thanks for the reassurance. I think I'll stick with the two bedroom. It's only 80 more pts for a week of better sleep for everyone.

Not only extra room for sleeping but an extra bathroom and in my family that is almost even with having your own bed.

I second the OKW laundry room. My almost three year old was excited to have his "own room" and had no problem teasing his sister.

We've tried putting her down in the living room, but then we can't use the fridge/kitchen or leave the villa because she wakes up.

The whole extra expense and if it's worth it, is the uncertainty is all about.

why would you( or we ) as mentioned above leave the villa if she was asleep. Not worth it me , plenty of room in a 1 bedroom but there your pts and you can do what you want with them.

Why not give her the MB and you guys sleep on the sofa bed ( not kidding)

Yes, and they have full-size washer & dryer with a rack above them. Very spacious. We love OKW!

I'm feeling a little nuts because I just reserved a two bedroom villa at the Beach Club for our August trip, simply so my then 2 year old daughter will have her own room. Seems so silly for such a tiny kid to have basically a studio for herself!....

I hope you got a dedicated two bedroom and not a lock off.

We've stayed at OKW and loved it. The laundry room was perfect for our dd to sleep in. However, we're traveling with my brother & his two girls and we are all staying at BCV.

OH..and as far as leaving the Villa when DD is sleeping, both parents wouldn't be gone at the same time. Maybe one of us would go down for a late night swim or down the hallway to my brother's room, while the other would stay with the baby. We're not like that couple who put their 17 month old to sleep at Pop Century and then went to Magic Kingdom because "the kids were asleep anyway".

If you think she would be fine in the closet.....I always thought that was a second bedroom for a baby.....stick with that.

If points are no issue.....stay with your 2br. Dont' worry about what anyone says....it's your vacation and you should enjoy it.

On a side note....I would be be putting the table and chairs by the door to block it....ahem...my paranoid mind.

I had to laugh when I saw the comment about kids sleeping in the closet because our youngest slept in the master bathroom of our 1 bedroom at BLT last year.

We had a crib, not a PNP, and just rolled it into the bathroom before naps/bedtime. He uses a wave machine so it was perfectly quiet for him in there. The sliding doors next to the tub let me peek in and we were still able to watch tv.

For naptime, we had our oldest sleep in our bed, the baby in the bathroom, and we could use the living room and kitchen while they slept. Our oldest slept on the couch for bedtime, but he's such a sound sleeper we were able to sneak into the kitchen for snacks. I would love all the extra space, but you could do it with less with a little creative planning.

Maybe. but you can't close the door. The configuration of the closet looks like it is pretty large. But the door opens into the closet and it requires all that space to open the door.
