Hi,

Next week will be our 7 month date and we are looking to obtain a 2 bedroom villa. I am just not sure which resort has the best ones. There will be 4 adults (me, DH and our 2 adult kids). We would prefer not to have anyone sleep on a pull out. Murphy bed would be okay..I think! LOL

Is there an easy way to figure out (or does anyone know) which 2 bedroom villas would have 3 actual beds. Our kids would not want to sleep together (boy and girl - they are adults) so trying to get everyone an actual bed without having to go to a 3 bedroom. The pull outs are the issue.

The dedicated vs lock off is not a problem. We have stayed in other non DVC resorts in a lockoff situation and it was not bad.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!!!

All 2 BR dedicated units, except BWV and AK-J neither have any dedicated 2 BR only lock-off units, will have 2 queen beds in the 2nd BR. Lock-off units will have a queen and a sofa bed in the 2nd BR.

The only ock-off 2BR with 3 real beds, no pull out, is OKW. All other lock-offs will have a King, a Queen, and multiple sofas. A couple lock-offs will have murphy beds (BCV, BWV, VGF, BRV).

Just book a dedicated 2 bedroom villa. All the dedicated 2 bedrooms (resort doesn't matter) will have a king in the Master and two queen beds in the second bedroom.

As mentioned, BWV and the Jambo building at AKV only have lock off 2 bedrooms. Those won't be an option for you. OKW lock-offs will also have 2 queens in the second bedroom - because all studios at OKW have two queens (no sofa).

We are a family of 4 and have had a Dedicated 2 BR at BCV. We had 1 King and 2 Queen beds.

If issue is merely that the two will not sleep in the same bed but can sleep in the same room, then any dedicated 2BR will work. Also at OKW even lock-offs will work because the studios there have two queen beds. The ones without dedicated 2BRs are Poly, BWV, and AKV Jambo (but Kidani has dedicated).

If the issue is also that they want to be in separate rooms, then it will not be possible to get two separate beds, since none of the living rooms have a real bed, although VGF 2BRs have a Murphy bed that pulls out from the cabinet under the TV in the living room (but it is smaller than a twin). Also, AKV, BLT, and OKW have, in the living room, both the couch/bed and a a chair that pulls out to something close to a twin-size bed; AKV Kidani and BLT also have a third bathroom that serves those sleeping in the living room.

Be aware that the time you will be seeking, late Sep to early Oct, is the beginning of DVC's high demand season and thus you might face some availability issues at 7 months out even if seeking a dedicated 2BR, particularly if you want BCV or BLT standard or Theme Park view, and there might even be some risk of not getting BLT lake view, BRV, or CCV

I am totally seeing this will be a problem. I think BWV is off the list as we really want the dedicated 2 bedroom. May waitlist BCV as only some of the days are available at this point - I know that will be very doubtful, but worth a shot. Will probably end up going with OKW as I think the extra room will be nice since there will be 4 adults.

Don't worry about it if you do end up going to OKW. Love it there as the size of the rooms are a big plus. Allows us all to spread out. Also, while the pull out sofa in the living room was never a great nights sleep, the pull out chair was very comfortable. It gives you the option of having three different sleeping spaces.

Thank you guys for all of your suggestions. We are going with OKW in a 2 bedroom lock off. Reason for that is that our kids are adults (mid 20's) and they will be able to come and go as they please and not have to go through the main living area. They will also have their own balcony (from what I am reading). Still may try to waitlist BCV just because I love it there and really want an Epcot resort, but OKW is a great 2nd choice with the boat to DS - I think the kids will spend a lot of time there.

It has been a while since we have been to WDW and I am used to planning for younger kids. This is a new experience for me plus first DVC stay!!
