We'll be going mid July, with my family. What views/ building should i request? I kinda want top floor, and somewhat closer to the main building (for the bustop). But does it matter? Are there better / preferred views?

All OKW views are either water (canal, pond/lake), Golf course or woods.

All buildings are close to a bus stop- some are very close- others are about 150 yards. There are 3 "neighborhood" pools in addition to the main pool, so no buildings are far from a pool or bus stop.

Buildings 11-18, 23-27 and 62-64 are relatively close to the Hospitality House area, where the main pool and Olivia's restaurant are located.

Don't get too hung up on a location, we've stayed all over the resort and have yet to find a bad room. Just request a view (water, golf or woods) and ask for upper floor- if that's what you'd prefer.

Have a great trip!! :)

Strictly a personal preference thing--. Looking at the resort map should point you to buildings near the "main" buildings. But as noted, there are bus stops thruout the resort.
Top floor is a good idea. These buildings aren't sound conditioned very well, especially "top to bottom". Every time we get a lower floor room, it seems like there's a herd of cattle in the room above ours. Even a small child running can sound like a 200 pound man doing jumping jacks. Very annoying, especially if you (like us) like to sack out early...

Our first visit in 2000 we were in a 2 bdr at OKW, room 6430. It was a dedicated 2 bdr on the 3rd floor and it was perfect. Great view and close to the HH.

I kinda want top floor

I prefer an upper floor as well. But, remember that there are no elevators in the buildings, except for Buildings 62-64. Second floor isn't bad, third floor can be a hike.

2 bedroom villas have one master suite with a king bed. This includes a two room bathroom. One with a whirlpool tub and pedestal sink and full closet, the other room with a vanity sink, shower and stool. There is also a huge kitchen/living room area. The kitchen is totally stocked with utensils but be aware that pans are not the non-stick variety. There is a dishwasher, full size refridgerator, and range/microwave etc. The living room has a queen size pull out sofa and a matching love seat as well as a large dining table. The large porch/deck also has a table and chairs. There is a full size laundry off the hall to the bedroom. The second bedroom has two queensized beds, a full closet, and vanity area as well as a large bath with second vanity, stool and tub/shower. There is also a nice entry hall with another closet near the front door. If you find any utensil lacking in the kitchen, just call housekeeping, and they will bring it to you. You will need laundry soap and any food stuffs on your own, but there will be dishwasher soap provided.
