Hello all,

My wife and I are returning to the magical place in early May. We are bringing our twin 2yo DS with us this time so a 2nd bedroom would be ideal. (So we can put them to sleep and still have run of the kitchen, living area, etc).

Does anyone have any suggestions - I checked with Homewood Suites, they wanted over $250 a night!

Hopefully someone will have good ideas!

Looking forward to your replies!

Jason

What? 250 for homewood? That's can be had on priceline bidding in the 30-40 range.

I would suggest HIFS, Marriott Residence Inn LBV and at SW location, Summerfield Suites, LBV, and check hotelkingdom.com for prices on Vistana and Vistana Villages.

herc.

Yes---$250 per night. This was for a 2 Bedroom unit.

Sorry to sound dumb, but what is HIFS?

Jason

We just stayed at Summerfield Suites LBV. 2 bedrooms, 2 bath, living room and kitchen. Right near Downtown Disney.
We paid $125 through the webrates on their website.
Good Luck!
Chris

Unfortunately, www.hotelkingdom does not have the Sheraton Vistana properties anymore, herc... :(

They do have the Wyndham Palms for a great deal though. Also, check www.closesttodisney.com for their rates on the Windsor Palms condos and townhomes.

HIFS is the Holiday Inn Family Suites. Great family suite hotel.

Also, check with Hotwire, is a Red S shows up in the amenities, it's a suite.

We are going in May and staying at Springhill Suites, in Marriott Village. It's just outside the park. It is 80per night on weekend and 71 per night weekdays for 1 bedroom. 2 bedrooms were only 90-100.

Take a look at the 2 bedroom suites on www.thepalmsresort.com and then check the prices on hotelkingdom.com, which is currently 88.90/night for the 2 bedroom. At over 1500 square feet for under $90/night it was an easy decision for us.

You can get Summerfield Suites LBV for $83 a night (the dates I checked were 5/2-5/9). This is for a DELUXE, TWO BEDROOM SUITE, 1 KING BED IN 1 BDRM AND 2 DOUBLE BEDS IN OTHER BEDROOM, NON-SMOKING, LIVING ROOM WITH SOFASLEEPER, TV/VCR, 2 BATHROOMS, FULLY EQUIPPED KITCHEN. It also includes a complimentary continental breakfast buffet. Webrates can be booked here: http://www.wyndham.com/specialoffers/programs/details/webrates.wnt
Webrates MUST BE BOOKED WITHIN 21 DAYS OF ARRIVAL and are NON REFUNDABLE-FULL PREPAID.

We stayed at Summerfield suites in March...2 bdrm..and loved it...I have seen similar rates to those posted above....

The HIFS is the holiday inn family suites. I have not stayed there but have done alot of research on it. It is only about 5 minutes from disney and there rooms have a kids theme which would be great for the twins. They all have two bedrooms with tv in all the rooms. The kids room has bunk beds so they can both stay in there. The pool looks beautiful and very child friendly. You get a free breakfast every morning which i've heard is very good. Plus kids eat free with a adult purchase for dinner. The place looks like a real winner to me. The price is about a 100 dollars a nite. I plan on staying with my daughter in early sept. Its defintely worth a look. Hope this helps Goodluck:D

I just got HIFS for about $86/night + tax. I plan on cancelling our reservations at FW. I hope that I've done the right thing - but changing the reservations saved us over $800 and we receive a free breakfast.

I also think your family would love HIFS. One note of caution: I would definitely NOT put a 2 yr. old in the top bunk. In fact, there is a sign right by the bunks advising that children under 7 should not sleep up top. However, there is also a pull out coach in the living area that can easily sleep both of them, and they could have the kids room as their own private playroom. Alternately, HIFS also offers "Queen kidsuites" with two twin beds in the kids room instead of the bunks, but then you only get a queen size rather than a king in the master bedroom. Good luck whatever you decide.;)

We stayed with this company and got a 3 bedroom pool home only 2 miles from the Animal Kingdom

Paid $ 700 for the week and had loads of space and our own private pool.

We will never go back to a so called hotel suite.

Try skyauction.com- I just got a 2 bedroom condo for $250 for a week(all fees included). We also did this last year. It was great to have all that space.

I did not like Holiday INN Family Suites, It is not actually 2 rooms it is a boxed in area within a room. Kind of like an office cubicle. Open to the top of the room the wall does not go all the way to the ceiling. Its about 2 feet from the ceiling. I can not stress enough I did not like this Hotel it is over run with kids. People had like ten people to a room. many drunken adults in the pool at night lots of unsupervised kids. We only stayed one night and than switched to DVC. You can go on the rent and trade board and try to rent points for a 1 bedroom at Say OLd Key West. If you can not swing that, May I suggest you try mousesavers, Mary has had some glowing reveiws on Hotel Royal Plaza, I believe they have 1 bedroom suites. I may also add I have 2 year old twin sons as well. So for one twin parent to another Do not stay there. It was dirty as well. Lauren

We tried the Holiday Inn Family Suites and did not like them at all. Over priced, the pool was cold and the so called suite was a room and half. No privacy from the kids at all. Its only features were they were new and close to Disney. Beyond that there are loads of other places that are far superior for less money.

Ridge, are you sure you're talking about the HIFS? There is a door to the adult room and a curtain to the kids room so there IS privacy in the kids suite. There is a living room, kids room and a queen room in the HIFS kids suites, a small kitchenette and only one bathroom, but there is definitely privacy....

Holiday Inn Family SUites is NOT a boxed area within a room like a cubicle....that is the Holiday Inn Sunspree. HIFS has 3 separate rooms.

And I agree with above poster....Sunspree was all that and much more...ugghh.
