Hi, Does anyone have a picture of the room layouts of a 2 bedroom at AKLV in Jambo vs. Kidani? Thank you for your help!

Here is a floor plan for a 2BR lockoff in Jambo House. In this room, the connecting door to the studio is in the entryway. In some of the rooms, the connecting door is in the living area, just past the kitchenette in the studio. The furnishings are not shown but they are similar to those in the Kidani floor plan. The two main differences in the furnishings are that the Jambo House 1BR/2BRs have a work table in the kitchen and a wardrobe unit in the master bedroom instead of a closet in the bathroom.

I think the main difference is the 3rd bathroom in the Kidani 2BR units. I don't believe Jambo has any dedicated 2BR units either, just lock-offs.

That's correct, Jambo has only lockoffs, no dedicated 2BRs.

There are a few other important differences that you can see when you compare the floor plans. The master bath in the Jambo 1/2BRs has a combined whirlpool tub and shower while Kidani has the usual arrangement of a separate tub and shower stall. In Kidani, you can move between the master BR and bath in privacy but in Jambo you have to cross an open hallway that is visible from the kitchen area and if your connecting door to the studio is in the living area, you could be seen from the studio as well. The living room in Kidani 1/2BRs is wider than the one in Jambo House 1/2BRs. The studios in Kidani have a little broom closet but in Jambo House most of the studios have no closet so the vacuum cleaner, ironing board, etc. are stored in one side of the wardrobe.

Can anyone give me more information on the dedicated 2 BR? I cannot find a floor plan or anything that tells the differences between it and the lock off. We have stayed in a studio and a 1 BR so I know what they look like--plus there are floor plans everywhere! But has anyone stayed in the 2 BR with two actual bedrooms?

In the studio there was that little kitchenette so in the 2 BR lock off there is basically 1 1/2 kitchens. If the dedicated ones are the same size, where does that space go?

Also if one bath is in the master and one is in the living room is the thrid bath only accessible through the 2nd bedroom? Thanks! Alicia

The Kidani dedicated 2 bdrms look exactly like the one in the floorplan above for Kidani lockoffs...

There is no hallway door in the 2nd bedroom - that is just a wall (we store our Owners Lockers on the floor here) - and there is no kitchenette space. The space where the kitchenette is in the lockoff (studio) is just an additional small closet. So when you walk into that bedroom, in the little hallway before the bathroom door, you have the large double closet on one side and a smaller single closet closest to the actual bedroom entry (we gave this closet to the person sleeping on the livingroom sofa bed).

There are not additional items in those closets like another vacume, high chair, etc - just the single set out in the laundry closet. Also no second safe - only the larger one in the master closet.

Yes - the 3rd bath is exactly like you see it in the above floorplan. There is one in the master, one in the second bedroom just like above and the one in the entry of the villa.

Most importantly (to us anyway) - there is no sofa bed in the 2nd bedroom - there are 2 queens.

There is no dividing wall or partition out on the balcony - there is just one great big huge long balcony. Ours had a total of 2 small tables and 4 chairs.

I also don't know why the floorplan shows another 2 chairs on either side of the coffee table in the living room. There aren't any. The seating in the living room consistes of a sofa and the large chair in the corner. This in addition to the banquette, the two chairs at the table and the 2 higher stools at the counter.

In the floorplan it looks like the two chairs on either side of the coffee table are the same chairs from the dining table. The ones at the dining table are drawn as outlines with lines connecting each outline to a solidly drawn chair next to the coffee table. In other words, they are showing two possible locations for the same chairs, just as they show the sofa bed and sleeper chair with an outline showing the space they occupy when open. It makes sense to draw it like that for the sofa bed and sleeper chair but it seems odd that they've drawn the chairs that way. I guess they just wanted to show that those chairs are movable, in case everyone wants to sit together in front of the TV.
