2 bedroom at VGF 7 months

Hello

so I was wondering what is the probability of me booking a 2 bedroom in VGF in the second half of Sept 2022. I’ve been randomly login on to see what is available at the 7 month mark at random times and I must say June at 7 must so far is getting me worried. I’m guessing this is due to the extra amount of points floating around Bc covid. Unlessthere is something happening inWDW in early June that I’m not aware of. Anywho any insight is appreciated.
Looking to go for a full week. My home resorts are SSR and Polynesian.

VGF only has 47 lockoffs and 47 2BRs. It isn't hard for them to get completely booked. It's just a small property in the big picture of DVC. It does have some availability, because it's high in point cost, but good luck for a full week in fall frenzy.

Pre-pandemic, dedicated 2BRs at VGF were typically open at 7-months out in Sep except for some risk otherwise in the last week of Sep (which is when DVC's high demand Fall season actually began). For 2022, you now have two new issues that add to the risk of such rooms filling before 7-months out -- the excess banked points resulting from the pandemic closures that need to be used, and the fact that, under the 2022 point charts, all of Sep is now the lowest point season of the year, with points needed lower than even the lowest season in 2019 or before. That could be a decisive factor for many members determining when they should make reservations.

i didn’t realize there were so little 2 brs. I think I might just stay with two studios in Polynesian. I really had my heart set on VGF.

The '7 month' hunt is all part of the planning experience. I enjoy the hunt and nabbing some choice reservations. Success rate is about 80%, especially with wait listing. My next challenge is RIV Studio Preferred in Jan 2023. But be sure you always have a back up plan in case you can;t get what you want.

I really don’t have set dates I just wanted September to have low crowds but i really thought I wouldn’t have an issue but as you pointed out covid changed all that.
