I'll be going to BCV for week around Nov. 1, 2004. I loved the food and wine festival, and the Halloween festivities this year and will be going back. My sister and family will also be coming, so I need a 2-bedroom. I am trying to decide between a dedicated 2-bedroom, and a lock-off 2-bedroom. I would appreciate opinions on the pros and cons of each. For, example, does a dedicated two bedroom have more closet space in the 2nd bedroom because there is no kitchen area, as in the lock off? Is the bed arrangement in the second bedroom of a dedicated unit different then in a lock off? Is there an advantage to two kitchen areas? I'll be shooting for a pool view, non-smoking, upper floor, away from the elevators. :)

the only difference that I have heard about is that some of the dedicated have 2 queen beds - 25 have these - so these would probably have a bigger closet

the others have a queen bed and a queen sleeper sofa (not a double)???

IMHO if you have young children with you a dedicated is better because there is no second entrance into the room for them to escape through. If you are with other adults, a lock-off is better because it gives the adults a second entrance of their own and a place to make their own coffee in the morning.

Wow. Once again I learn something new. We stayed at BCV last year and I thought they did not have dedicated 2-br units. I just thought it was a little awkward with the lock-out. Thanks.

I just came back and I stayed in a dedicated 2 BR and I thought there was alot of privacy between the 1st and 2nd bedroom. The 2nd BR had 2 closets.

You can reserve the dedicated 2bdrm with two queens. It will say DQ on your reservation. There is additional closet space due to there being no kitchenette. They do not have their own seperate intrance, but the main door opens into a foyer not into the main room.
