Hello- we are approaching our 7 mo mark and I want some opinions - we have a RIV 2 bedroom reserved and are considering switching to BWV or BCV. My mother in law may need to use an ECV and I assume BW and BC are more convenient locations. We have stayed at RIV and enjoy it and look forward to the beautiful 2 bedroom there- but also consider convenience of BW/BC walking to 2 parks, lots of restaurants etc. TIA for any input!

It will be challenging to get a 2BR at BWV since there are no Dedicated 2 Bedroom Villas. You'll be competing with everyone trying to book a Studio.

If you can get BWV, you'll be in ECV distance to two theme parks. There's only one set of 3 elevators and the hallways are long and narrow, but I have seen ECVs parked outside in the hallways.

BCV puts you within very close to Epcot, and close to the Skyliner to get to to DHS. There are two sets of elevators. The main one will be best for an ECV.

It's easy to get to the restaurants on the Boardwalk from either BWV or BCV.

The big difference is the pools. The main pool at BCV is called Stormalong Bay and is wildly popular among DVC members. However, there are lots of nooks & crannies and steps, making it somewhat difficult to get around. The BWV's main pool is not as expansive but is easier to navigate.

In my opinion, it's a bit easier to get to the BWV busses than the BCV busses.

I suggest looking at online photos to see which one appeals to you more.

Good luck to you. But on a positive note if you can't find alternative accommodations, the Skyliner does accommodate wheelchairs and ECVs, though given its issues, it wouldn't be my first choice.

I would agree with the thought that BWV and BCV are more convenient with an ECV. As mentioned BWV might be more difficult as it only has lockoffs but for the ease of getting to both Epcot and DHS it's ideal but BCV is a close second. Good luck with making the switch if you decide to do so!

Just stayed at RIV last week with my cousin who needed an ECV. It was very easy getting to both Epcot and HS using it.

But, I have also stayed at BCV with them too and found it easy as well.

Maybe you get BRV or possibly you can book 2x 1brs at BWV/BCV but I don't think you can hope for much more.

we are approaching our 7 mo mark

What exact dates are you going?

The Skyliner is going to be closed from Sunday, January 23rd through Thursday, January 28, 2022. I would take a closer look at getting 2x of the 1BRs at like BWV/BCV at that point instead of staying at Riviera and using possibly a few extra points.

I have Jan 17 booked at RIV for 6 nights. Our dates are slightly flexible and as of right now I can still find 6 nights at BW, BC, BRV or 2 studios at poly (there are others too but not what I’m looking for). I know that could very well change in the next couple days! I could come up with good reasons to stay at any of those resorts! I may just keep the RIV reservation but wanted to hear your opinions!!

I would stay at riv. All resorts are now totally easy with an ECV. Riv bus stop is easy to get to and the Skyliner is too. Riv is just so much nicer than the other two resorts if you ask me.

RIV seems more appealing to the older (in-law) crowd. Being a newer resort, I would keep that reservation. Plus Topolino's is incredible

If any adults need to sleep on the sofa bed in the living room, then I'd keep Riviera, as the Murphy bed is much more comfortable. Otherwise my favorite between BWV and BCV is the former.
