All of the resorts are kid friendly and there are perks to all of them, IMO, depending on what you're looking for. Our favorite is the Poly as it's convenient to MK, it's a monorail ride away from the GF and CR for a variety of dining options, it's a 5-7 minute walk to the TTC to catch the Epcot monorail, the pool is great as it backs up to the beach with a distant view of the castle while swimming, and the beach is great for watching the fireworks. I would look at all of the resorts that interest you and choose which one appeals to you the most. Good luck.
I think "best resort for kids" will get you wildly different answers. I think all the Disney resorts offer something great for the kids.
The value resorts are very Disney -themed which many people love. These are very children-friendly. We have always stayed at the moderate level - CBR usually. Our kids love it there. It is quiet and has a Caribbean feel. The pool slides are always a hit. The deluxe monorail hotels have bigger rooms and are nicely located to many attractions.
Do you know what level resort - value, moderate or deluxe - you are looking for? Then maybe someone can suggest their favorite in that level.
Kids really like the values and the food courts are great for family eating. The only thing missing is slide at pool but they do great games Tec by the pool everyday. We have stayed at all the values but aoa. You might like a family suite so you would have some private space if the kids go to sleep early. We always pay the extra for preferred to be close to Pool and main building
We are open to all resorts. My wife liked the AOA because of the rooms I just don't wanna be far from the parks. We will be going in Oct 2014 . This is very hard to pick I agree every resort has its perks
we have a 4 year old and his favorite is the Polynesian. i think kids will love any of the resorts though. i don't think you have to worry about any of the Disney hotels not being kid friendly.
i like monorail hotels for strollers and for the ease of not having to use the buses as much.
