i just priced out the Panama crossing for sept 2016 and for 2 adults and 2 children in the room the price is the same for everyone, so it's exactly the same price for me to have 4 of us in a room as it is to have 2 rooms. That doesn't seem right.

It looks like they are discouraging you from bring kids. I was wondering why the price was so much higher than past opening day prices. With it being in August, a lot more families will book that cruise.

I just looked that cruise up, it looks like it is just like that for the inside staterooms. For the rest of the categories, the price for the 3rd/4th passenger is less than the first 2.

It depends which stateroom category you choose -- and I'm assuming you have teens because it varies by age as well. I just priced 2 adults and 2 teens, and you are correct that the lowest stateroom category (11B) is showing the 3rd/4th passenger fares equal to the first 2 passengers. But if you look at a different interior stateroom category the 3rd/4th fares stay the same while first 2 goes up -- with a wider gap as you move "up" stateroom categories. Oceanview have a slightly bigger gap, verandahs even more so.

If you want an 11B -- you might as well book 2 staterooms.

Enjoy your cruise!
