We have decided to leave right after school to have an extra day to recup from the trip down. That will put us in Orlando at 2 or 3 a.m. the day of our arrival. Will there be any trouble checking in at that time? Should I call to let them know of our late arrival?

I checked in at about 1:30am a few weeks ago, no problem at all. I would call and let them know about the late arrival though.

Last year due to several unavoidable delays we ended up arriving at 5:00am. I called the hotel from the road and told them what happened and aprox. what time we would arrive. The All Star Sports was just wonderful! We walked up to the front desk and gave our name, they had room keys laying out ready for us to go directly to the room. The CM simply said go sleep and stop by later to officially check-in. :D After a difficult beginning to our trip it was a wonderful act of kindness, and true Disney Pixie Dust. :teeth:

Thanks for the replies. That makes me feel better about our late check-in. I will definitely give them a call.

I have also checked in after 1am without any problems. I am sure you will be fine...

Due to our flight being delayed one year we checked in at 2am. It went very smoothly and very quick. Best of all you should be the only ones checking in at that time--no crowds to fight ;)

We have checked in this late also. We typically inform them of our late arrival and then call from the car to let them know exactly what time we will arrive. Disney is great about stuff like this. No worries. :hyper:

I checked in at 3:30 one time and it was fine. There was no one in the lobby so we didn't have to wait11:crazy: :teeth: :teeth:

I've checked in about midnight at AsMo too and 4greatboys is right - no crowds you have check in to yourself. Everytime we went past the front desk during the day it was mobbed! Just confirm and you should be set! Have a wonderful trip

I just wanted to let everyone know that it was not a problem to check in at 3 a.m., but I didn't get either of the sections I had requested. I think the late check-in hurts your chance for the section you want. It's the first time I didn't get what I requested, but it was no big deal. It was a great trip. We were in the Mighty Ducks section.

We checked in at 2am last July and our room keys didn't work. The computers go down every morning at 2am according to the front desk people, so they couldn't make us new ones til the next morning. The front desk clerk had to leave his post and walk to our room with a master key to let us in. He also had no paperwork to sign- so I was unable to verify that they had our correct AP rate. Needless to say, they were overcharging us and it took me an hour to straighten everything out the next morning.

Don't expect luggage service that late either. They stop at 9pm.

Next time I arrive that late, I will spend the first night at one of the off-site hotels in LBV.
