2/9/2013 - Fantasy Mardi Gras Cruise *****

When I try to access, I get a message "account deleted and no longer recoverable".

Hi, I was just wondering since someone mentioned illness, to what degree would someone be I'll and not be allowed to board? I have the sniffles, no other symptoms, and able to keep it at bay with over the counter meds. So far I have been able to keep my germs to myself with family and co-workers. Any suggestions?

Yes....FE Groups are firm....

This is the link to the online document...tabs at the bottom

Hope this helps. :cool1:

... that's the online Google Spreadsheet, you need a google account to access it.

When I try to access, I get a message "account deleted and no longer recoverable".

... that message (from google) is because the account you're trying to use has been decommissioned.

But don't despaire, here's the quick fix. Go to the first post in this thread, and follow the link to the...

... fill out the form with your registration info, pick "My FE List", and you'll have an email with a nicely formatted list in seconds. There are also options for seeing the full Roll Call or just your own info. There are previous posts in this thread about all that.

BUT here's some news. I've been working on a way to send FE lists out to all members at once, and it just went live this evening. So everyone on the FE lists should have received an email with their complete lists - check your inbox.

The people on the Goofy list will receive an update when the last GTY room number is updated. And I'll also have updates go out automatically if anyone tells me of an upgrade or stateroom change.

Just 9 more days until we head south, and 2 weeks until we sail! See you on board!

David.

I've actually got some experience with this, sadly enough!

A cold isn't going to be a problem, no worries there. Naturally, guard any sneezes, and wash hands constantly. There are hand wash stations at all dining rooms and many interior public spaces, so it's easy to do that.

Norovirus and similar GI viruses are the major concern. If you've got any of these symptoms, you probably won't be allowed to board. If you develop them during the cruise, the medical team can have you quarantined in your cabin until 48 hours after the last symptom, and suspend your debarkation privileges. That's if they know. Another option would be to self-quarantine, enjoy a couple of days of room service (esp. gatorade) and television movies.

On our last cruise I got soooooooooo sick on board after the 2nd day. It was a horrible cold that turned into bronchitis - ruined my whole trip.
About 1/3 of the boat got it - I was so so so ill :(
I heard that there was a family with 2 kids who boarded like that, and I pictured them getting ice cream and handling everything.
Needless to say I have bought a hand santizer with a rubber holder that will hang on my lanyard. I won't be touching ANYTHING without a wet wipe thingy now - that trip was a bust- I barely remember it- the chills, the fever, etc.... :(
So ifyou do board with a cold, please use wipes when you use things that others will be touching!!!

The flu, then a head cold and now a chest cold have all gone through our house since new years. There's nothing left for us to catch so we should be healthy for out trip lol

My kids all have the flu now.... Not gonna lie, I was pretty excited this week when they got it! We get everything, so it was just a matter of time. So glad the time is now, and not in 2 weeks!! And at least I got a good start on my packing while I've been home with them all week ;)

I do everything I can to keep others from catching what I have now even if it a mild case of sinus congestion.I only touch my phone and my iPad when I am home, I have even programmed my phone to change the channels on my TV so no one has to touch my germs on the remote. Over the week I have my own box of tissues, sleep away from everyone, and have confined myself to one chair... Ok so u can see I am a bit of a germaphobe, but will go to lengths to keep it to myself. With any luck, it will remain with me. But I am glad if any of us were to catch something it was now and me. I wish all is well with everyone and we all have a safe and HEALTHY trip!!

It's a vacation, so rather than worry, just do the best you can to keep YOU healthy, recognizing that there's little that can be controlled.

But here's a thought. In ancient Rome, soldiers were required to drink a litre of wine daily, which scholars believe counter-acted the critters that may have been in the untreated water.

:drinking1:drinking:

We could follow their example on the cruise. For health reasons, of course!

Now that sounds like a plan! Here I have been drinking tea and honey. I may find the need to switch my remedy of choice. LOL

Has anyone used the off site parking place called Cruise Parking of Port Canaveral? I had seen it mentioned before and was thinking about using them instead of parking at the port.

Here in Michigan, we are on day 2 of snow/ice days for school..... I am soooo ready for some warm, sunny weather!!!!

This is our first time cruising, but after searching reviews, we are going with park n cruise for 5.99 a day. I have spoken with them to make sure our reservation was secure and feel comfortable after reading all of their great reviews.

Let's see... 9 PM, Tuesday night...

In exactly one week, we should be enjoying the Club Lounge at AKL!

In TWO weeks, we'll be ramping up for the PIRATES IN THE CARIBBEAN PARTY! pirate::banana:

That's great! Did you get a good upgrade?

The updated Pluto list has been sent to all members, so no need to worry about that.

No, no upgrade. We had already paid for a veranda room so as long as I'm not sleeping in the corridors I'm good lol

If you're participating in the FE Exchange, you have received a copy of your FE List.

PLEASE double check your stateroom number on the list, and send me an email with any corrections.

I'm aware of one change that's needed on the Pluto list... are there any more out there?!

We leave on Monday and I let myself sneak a peak at the Florida weather this morning. Looks good so far, but I am afraid to jinx it! Anything will be better than the -17C (1.4F) we have to start this morning.....

Where in Michigan are you from? I'm a Yooper originally but now live in Minnesota. Can hardly wait til next week. Just praying no one gets sick in our house! We had 30 plus below with wind chills! Ready for warm too.
