2/9/2008 - Valentine Cruise 7 Night Western - Anyone On The Love Boat ?

I think 2 by the pool and 3:15 in the PL sounds good. Remind me where the Promenade Lounge is again?

Okay, I'll put a note on the spreadsheet for both meeting times. By the Mickey Slide at 2:00 if you're there and then 3:15 in the Promenade Lounge.

The Lounge is on Deck 3, this is the deck you enter the ship from. Walk past Lumière's and turn left. The Lounge will be on your left after you pass Lumière's. Let's try to meet near the leftmost side of the Lounge.

Nothing for us. :sad1:

But I went online to check our reservation and it looks like we got upgraded. :dancer:

I guess the 3rd time is the charm!

My documents just arrived via UPS!! :cheer2: Now I really need to concentrate on packing!! See everyone soon!

Laura

Hello cruisemates!! Got our cruise docs today too!! via UPS WOOHOO can't wait! Laurie
PS: welcome TBear :welcome:

Our docs arrived too!!! We're busy getting ready for our DCL house party tomorrow night, which we're very excited about and then it's time to get to some serious packing. We can't believe it's only two weeks away.

Docs arrived!! Looks like we're all going on a cruise!!

Got an envelope via UPS from Disney today, I assume that it's our cruise docs (will find out in about 2 hours when I get home)

Interestingly enough, they also just call me on my cell phone to confirm our Palo dinner reservations and to remind me that our REAS package includes the Palo dinner and that the rainforest spa passes in the package are good for the length of the cruise.

Yup, it was our cruise docs.

Only problem is that it says that since we're staying at the Hyatt Friday night, we DON'T tag our suitcases when we go the the airport in Las Vegas, and therefore have to go to baggage claim in Orlando and retreive our bags ourselves. (apparently we keep our bags with us Friday night) The whole reason I pay for Disney's transfer service (for land or sea) is because I like the whole "you breeze right from the plane to the bus without having to worry about your luggage".

I'm going to call my TA, but does anyone know if there's an option where Disney will pick up the bags Friday night and just transfer them to the ship on Saturday? We don't need our bags Friday night, our carryons will get us through the one night.

On a happier note....Two weeks from now we'll be in Orlando. :woohoo:  :woohoo:

Sorry to say that no DCL does not have a way to pick up and store your luggage overnight. However, when you check in at the Hyatt make sure they know you're on the cruise, they have a special set of instructions. You'll tag your luggage and leave it outside of the hotel room Saturday morning and it will be picked up, transferred to the ship and your state room.

I have read several people talking about the DCL house party, so what exactly is that? Thanks for informing me!

According to the Hyatt web site when you land at Orlando you go straight to hotel check in and they send someone to collect your luggage from baggage claim, however I don't think we will be using this service, I'm afraid they might miss our luggage leaving us with no clothes:scared1: I don't think it's a naturist cruise:scared1:

Can someone explain more fully about the kids bags exchange idea ...and are we definitely doing this ?

I'll have to get organised very soon if we are, as we are rapidly approaching our holiday ...only 6 more days !!!

Judy x

PS I studied our documents and my DH2B wasn't on them :scared1: .....could just be he lives at a different address (ie in Wales) and will get his own ??? .......otherwise this wedding could be short of a player :rotfl:

No Docs Here...:sad2: :sad2: No upgrade either....:sad1: :sad1:

that's okay, they're probaly just sitting at my TA's office. The tend to FW them on rather than allow DCL to sned them direct. I suppose I'll have to wait a couple more days.

No Docs for us, maybe they'll arrive today. on a happy note, my dress for formal night did arrive!! I'm so excited to wear it since I special ordered it in Cinderella blue!!

Did you gae a Cat upgrade?

Ian

Ian, yes we did. I don't remember the cat # but we basically went from an inside stateroom to an outside stateroom. They also moved us to the faaaar front of the ship which probably won't help our son with his motion sickness. :scared1: More Sea Bands and Bonine!!
