No Docs for us, maybe they'll arrive today. on a happy note, my dress for formal night did arrive!! I'm so excited to wear it since I special ordered it in Cinderella blue!!

That's a great idea for the dress color. I'm thinking about bringing a tux for formal night. Kind of goes against my "pack light" philosophy though.

Ian, yes we did. I don't remember the cat # but we basically went from an inside stateroom to an outside stateroom. They also moved us to the faaaar front of the ship which probably won't help our son with his motion sickness. More Sea Bands and Bonine!!

We had an outside stateroom last trip (cat9) at the front of the ship (#2514) - absolutely no motion problems at all (apart from the first night at sea -when it was a problem all over the ship ).

And it was lovely and quiet in that area too

I actually prefer a cruise where the ship is rolling all over the place. It's like an amusement park ride!

I think you will get on well with my DS......... who on our return flight from Turkey last year, was whooping and shouting "yay!!!yay !!!" when we hit some severe air turbulance ...

Has anybody been to Key West before? i've been looking it up online and have found conflicting reports. Some say that families should avoid Duval street as there are drunk people walking around vomiting everywhere and sex shops on every corner! sounds like the only good thing about Key west is the lime pie.
Any advice would be great

We've been to Key West twice with DCL, it's a great place. I think some of what you're hearing may pertain more to late night life in parts of the city, but while we're there, it is very enjoyable. Much of it can be done on foot and is close to where we dock.

We've been to Key West before and really enjoyed it. I think if you focus on doing something like a tour, or eating Key Lime Pie (like me!!) you will enjoy it. Last time we toured Hemingway's House and the Lighthouse and enjoyed both very much. At the time we had our DD who was 8 months old, now we have 3 kids so it will be more of an adventure! But I think you will enjoy it, just find something you like to do and stick with that.

BTW, we also got our cruise docs on Friday!! It's really gonna happen

Yay!!! Our documents finally arrived today!! I can't believe we are just 12 days away! We have all our excursions set and booked and packing will begin tomorrow!! Yipppppeeeeeeee!!

Hi all!! just finished shoveling our 8 or so inches if not more of snow we got from yesterday into this morning! What a storm!! Next Wednesday can't come fast enough!! Anyone else get hit with lots of snow??

Laurie, I think we got another 12 inches or so, to add to the 3 feet we already have on the ground!! Our low tonight is supposed to be around -39F; right now it is around -20F with a "real feel" of -58F!!!!!!!!! YIKES!! No school today for my DD, no work for my hubby. Can you guess why we planned to get away in Feb??

So today is just a bonus day, it means more packing for us, I have a stew going in the slow cooker and we are trying to make the best of it. Unreal though!!

I can't believe how fast this trip is coming up!!!

Hi Kristine.....oh man negative numbers!!!! that's just unbearable....I'm glad you're gettiing aways from it. That's why we get away this time of year.....it's nice to get out of the cold!! I keep telling my son in a week and a few days we'll be in nice warm weather and won't have to wear our winter coats and hats! He just giggles and says he wants to wear his baseball hat.
