2/9/10 Questions for the Team will be taken from this thread only.

Hey PCT! (Podcast Crew Townies),

My question is for Kevin. If you have a less-than-pleasant experience when doing a dining review, how much time to you let pass before you revist the restaurant and review it again?

Do you allow more time to pass or review a restaurant differently if it's a new restaurant than if it's an established restaurant with a new menu or a new chef?

Do you allow more time to pass or review it differently if you are dining for pleasure rather than dining for a Podcast review?

Thank you for allowing us to submit questions on the boards. This is a terrific idea!

Michael

Hi guys, here is a question for the whole team. Of all of the onsite Resorts, which one wouldn't you stay? And why? :teeth:

What is all of your favourite segments that the other crew members do? E.g. do you like Julies Store Tours the best or Kevin's reviews etc. ?

Here is it, Tuesday... I still don't have a fabulous question!

I look forward to hearing the show. :goodvibes

My question for the team:

What is your favorite thing to do in So. Cal. besides go to the Disneyland parks? Any secret spots for a great bite to eat? We will be heading to Disneyland May 23-28 and will have a car. Thanks!

Hey podcast crew,

My fiance and I will be going to WDW at the end of September and will be spending a day at Universal Studios. We plan on getting there for park opening and doing both Universal and IOA on the same day. We did this last year but never actually checked out Citywalk as we had to rush back to Epcot for our dining reservation. Could somebody please recommend a nice restaurant in or around Citywalk? We are not fussy eaters so am open to any suggestions.

Many Thanks

Both shows have been recorded.

We answered a many questions as we could.

Thanks for participating.

Just a note.....we are planning other new things for the near future.

Stay tuned.....we'll keep you posted.;)

Thanks Kevin - I can't wait!

Do any of you have experience using off-prpoerty ECV rentals? I am taking my mother with us in April, and we have a Handicap Accessible Treehouse Villa reserved. We have taken her in the past, and rented ECVs in the parks but found three problems with it: 1.) The cost is extremely high on Disney property, 2.) You cannot get a guaranteed rental (when Disney runs out of ECVs, you're out of luck), 3.) We found the walk around our resort to exhaust my mom, and really needed an ECV for her at the resort.

Can you recommend any off-propoerty ECV rental companies? Do these companies deliver the vehicles, or do we have to go pick them up? Any information you may have about this would be greatly appreciated.
If you follow the link in my signature to the disABILITIES FAQs thread, you will find a lot of information about renting ECVs from off-site companies, including web links and phone numbers. That information is in post #2 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread.
The companies listed there are ones that DIS posters have used over the years and have reported generally very good experiences with.
One of the companies, Walker, is a DIS sponsor.
It's finally Tuesday!

My question is regarding the use of wheelchairs & ECVs in the parks. I sometimes need to use a wheelchair due to fractures from osteoporosis. It looks as though I will not be able to walk or stand for very long for our upcoming trip in June, so I plan on bringing my own wheelchair. My question is - Are any of the parks too hilly for my DH to push me, or would you recommend renting an ECV? Also, if I should rent an ECV, are plenty available or do I need to plan on renting one early in the day? Since I'm fairly new at this, any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks for everything you do!

Katrina
If you follow the link in my signature to the disABILITIES FAQs thread, you will find information that will be helpful to you there too. Post #2 with rental info and post #3 with park info.

The number of ECVs available in each park is limited, so if you need one, it's best to get there early. Most parks will be out of ECVs by afternoon. That can vary though, depending on how many people with disabilities are in the park - which may be different than whether the parks in general are busy or not.

ALL the parks have some hilly areas. We push DD in her manual wheelchair all the time at the parks and have little difficulty, but we are used to it and she is small. A lot will depend also on when you are going; the hotter it is, the more of a chore it becomes to push the wheelchair.

The park most people complain about most is AK - not because it is so hilly, but because the paths are all themed to be things like dirt roads (made of concrete, but still bumpy).
Epcot is mostly not too bad, but is large and has a big hill between France and England in WS because the bridge there is high.
MK has a large hill between Fantasyland and Liberty Square and the area around Big Thunder Mountain RR and Splash Mountain has some steep hills.
The Studio is the flattest.

Thank you so much for the info! DH and I are still trying to decide between the wheelchair and ECV, but he seems to think he'll be able to push me. I'm a little concerned about AK since you mentioned the "dirt" roads...I didn't even consider that. Thanks again for the advice. I'll read up on the disabilities board and make sure we know what we're doing! :thumbsup2

:goodvibeswoo hoo, read one of mine! thanks guys!
This is something I have wondered for years:

Do the Dreams agents work out of their homes on their own hours? How does all of that work?

What are the chances that one of us could get that job? Do they have to have travel agent licenses?

Thanks! I love the boards and the podcast!!!! I appreciate all of you very much!

i've always wondered this too- but i think it is a case of the grass isn't always greener. I know i read about how hard and long they work- heck, look at Tracey! while it sounds great, I think in reality it is probably just as hard as any office job. But i could be wrong. It would be nice to know more. ;)

Listening to the what is your favorite..... I can't help but think Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

What is your name?
What is your quest?
What is the air speed velocity of an unlaiden swallow?
