My husband and daughter are going on our second Disney cruise in a couple of weeks (last year we did the 7 day Land and Sea deal). We had so much fun last year on the Wonder that we decided to do it again on the Magic - we are so excited, we can't wait! Anyhow, I was wondering if anyone has already been on the Eastern cruise, and if so what excursions they can recommend - or not. We are sort of on a budget so we can't do it all, but we'd like to have an idea of what's worth the money and what's not.

Also, does anyone know how much I have to beg and plead to the kids staff to let my daughter be in the next age group? She will be 7 in February, which means she would be in the 5-7 group. She is used to playing with older children and would have more fun doing the activities with the next age group, not to mention we are going with friends and their two older girls, and I know Hayley will want to stay with them. Even last year when she went she was a little bored in her assigned age group and as a result she didn't have as much fun. I'm hoping I can get her bumped up!

Finally, does anyone have the second dining rotation schedule? I'm trying to make a simple itinerary to give to our group before we go.

Thanks for any help! BTW, if anyone is going on the same cruise and has a daughter around 6 or 7, I know my shy 7 year old would love to make a new friend or two!

Hi there! We have a small but excited group of cruisers for this sailing. You can check out our thread Here

Hope to see you there! :)

Don't do the Pinel Island excursion in St. Martin - they over book and the water is not that clear and the fish are not that great.

Definitely do the 5-Star excursion to St. John in St. Thomas aboard the Leylon Sneed. It was incredible. The water is deep but they provide life preservers. It is truly a wonderful experience.
