2/8/03 Eastern Magic Anyone?

I WANNA GO TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:) I can't believe how cold it is for November/December here in Joisey. We rarely see snow this early let alone have it on the ground already. This is going to be a looonnnnggg winter, I can feel it. Hang in there Annie....the clock is slowly ticking away our days until sunshine and magic.
I have the sound WAV of The Magic's horn on my desk top....I've been turning up the volume and letting her blow.! I love it.
Happy trails to you Gary.....leave some fun in the sun for the rest of your soon to be shipmates....OK? We will be looking forward to a full detailed report when you return. Hey, maybe you should stash some of that diet pepsi while your down there for your return later....you could play a great game of hide and go seek. Have fun.:)

Why does the last work day before WDW take so long?;)

Thanks to all for all the trip wishes!! Yes, there will be a full report as soon as we return. And maybe, just maybe, a photo of the DW and myself will be posted!!!:D An 8 X 10 portrait is included with Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and I have Spousal Approval to scan and post it as soon as we get it.

I'm tired of cold and snow already, Laura. I am sooooooo glad I have a snow blower for the driveway and sidewalk. I'll leave some sunshine for the cruise. all right!!

Annie, isn't LES (Lake Effect Snow) a wonerful thing? NOT!!!

Take care, everyone, and I'll post again on the 10th when we return!

Our flight got cancelled because of the bad weather up the coast.
We're rescheduled to fly out at 7:00 P.M. tonight. If you don't hear from us tonight, we made it south! Mickey's Very Merry is tentatively rescheduled for Sunday night.:D

Laura, I hope you don't get buried over there!:(

Oh No! I've watched some of the coverage of the weather up your way and it said there would be some massive travel delays. What a bummer! I hope you're able to get out later on tonight. The weather has impeccable timing, doesn't it!

Laura? Annie? You guys covered in the white stuff too? We leave to go home for the holidays next Friday and just heard from the family in St. Louis that they got a few inches dropped on them as the storm passed by.

Sending warm thoughts and warm *pixie dust* to my neighbors in the north!

Gary and Gail - I hope your flight was a go...
Chrissy - we have lots of snow and it is soooo cold. It's been -29 (celcius - I'm not sure what that is fahrenheit). We even have to plug in the cars. I just imagine myself on the ship basking in the sunshine... On the bright side, it's less than 2 months before we leave for sunny Florida.
- Annie

I was thinking about you Gary and Gail today at work....so sorry your trip was delayed, but better safe than sorry. This was a pretty quick storm this time around. Some areas are worse off that others.
Hi Chrissy-
Yes......we are covered in that gosh awful snowcone stuff. We have about 8 inches on the ground. However, it is that light, fluffy kind so it is easy shoveling. My DH is out there plowing for the state. It will be a long night for him and me too- I just don't sleep very well when he's not here. *The things that go bump in the night*.;) Thank goodness for my big *bad* guard dog. She'll just lick ya to death!!

Hi Annie-
I can hear the sound of icicles in your post! You sound like a popsicle up there. I remember those days of having to plug in the cars, the heat tapes and lug in tons of wood when I lived in NYS. I do not miss those days at all. Hang in there......the days are getting fewer.:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I got all of my Christmas decorations up and finished my shopping. One less thing to worry about! Knock on wood, our 2 cats haven't taken the tree out...yet...

Gary? Are you back yet? I want to hear all about MVMCP (if it was still a go). We're toying with the idea of spending next Christmas at WDW. It looks absolutely magical.

It actually dawned on me the other day that we'll be cruising in about 8 or 9 WEEKS! I sure do like the sound of that :teeth:

Hi gang!!!

We made it down there!!! We were supposed to land at MCO (Orlando International) at 3:15 P.M. on Thursday. Actual landing time was 2:00 A.M. (yes, A.M.!!!!:earseek: ) on Friday. The folks at WDW were nice enough to re-issue us tickets for MVMCP for Sunday night. Chrissy, ABSOLUTELY do WDW this time of year!!! The place is beautiful with decorations everywhere and MVMCP is an absolute gas.:jester:

I will post A LOT more about the trip very soon. I will also have some interesting pictures to post soon. By the way, we made it back today with no problems.

Thanks for thinking of us!;)

WELCOME BACK Gary and Gail.......... that week sure flew by too quickly. As you can see the weather has not changed any for the better......freezing rain is on the way for us in NW Jersey today. So YUCKY!:(
So how was your stay at AS-Sports?Must have been a shock to the system in comparison to OKW! But, any where, any time in Disney is fine with me.
We would love to hear about MVMCP also....some day I will get there. Hope it was great weather for you in Orlando. Was this your first Christmas trip? I can only imagine the lights and decorations!!!!
Chrissy, I have two of those crazy creatures they call CATS also and I have been waiting for the loud crash myself. I can not leave my tree skirt under the tree........by the time I get home from work, it is balled up in a mess in some other part of the house. I just give up until the gifts actually go under the tree.
Well, good day to all.....have more shopping to do.:) I LOVE to shop!!!!;) tick, tick....

This trip was the third time we've done MVMCP and we'll probably do it again! We love WDW during the holidays. The parks are beautiful, the holiday entertainment is great and the parks aren't crowded!:D Each park has something special for the Holidays. The Candlelight Processional at EPCOT is amazing.

MVMCP has a specilal parade that runs twice during the evening, a spectacular fireworks show, featuring Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer doing Tinkerbelles flight from the castle. (NOT a job I would take ! ) All the major rides are operating, the characters are EVERYWHERE, hot chocolate and cookies on the house, and a nice 5X7 picture is taken (suitable for framing).:teeth: There are also several different stage shows at different locations around the MK.

All in all, a VERY nice holiday evening. I would recommend it to everyone. Oh, I forgot to mention, It SNOWS on Main Street!!! It must be seen to be believed. I was there the first time they did the snow thing and it gets better each time we go!

Ahh, it does sound wonderful Gary. I'm glad you guys had a nice time :)
Well, we're hitting the road tomorrow bright and early and heading home for a week. It's only a 12 hour drive! :earseek: We've driven cross country so many times though, this is a drop in the bucket. We actually kinda enjoy it.

I finally got my photos organized on Yahoo and thought I would share them with you all. (I don't know about you, but I love looking at other people's pictures) There's some of our trip to WDW this year, some of when we lived in Hawaii, and some of our one cat who is a total ham. The other is very camera shy so that's why there's none of her.

Have a great weekend!!

Chrissy,
It is so good to put a face with the personality we *feel* from the posts here. I have not been to Hawaii yet......I've only heard how beautiful the islands are. I just can't get over the fear of flying over water, it really keeps me Homeland bound. I dream of Italy also!!! Someday. Thanks for the sharing the photos and also those of your *family*;)
Thanks Gary for the magical description of MVMCP. I would probably just be all tears on Main Street surrounded by the holiday beauty. Snow on Main Street!! How amazing is that. Those Imagineers are incredible.
My excursions are booked for both islands. Can not wait!!! I ordered two Disney logo bags- one for Char and one for myself. We love to shop so they will come in handy. The guys can fend for themselves.....I'm sure Joe (Char's DH) will have a portable fishing pole stashed somewhere. My DH (Wayne) will be happy looking at the scenery, he is into TOTAL relaxation when on vacation!;)
Hi ho hi ho I'm *off* from work you know.............have to pick up the DD's cat to cat sit this weekend. tick, tick...;)

Hi Everyone - I hope you are all having a great week. I have been so swamped between work, christmas pageants, work xmas parties, etc. that I have hardly had time to check out the boards lately. The weather here has warmed right up. It's hovering around 0 or +1. I can't believe it. The freeze has lifted.
Gary, it was great to hear about your trip to WDW.
Chrissy, thanks for sending the pictures. It is nice to put a face to your messages...
Laura - I'm with you for shopping. My husband gets to carry my bags. LOL! What kind of excursions did you end up booking? We are going to wing it... we thought maybe we'd do some shopping in the mornings, and hit the beach in the afternoon....

I hope you all enjoy your weekend...
- Annie

I don't know about you all, but I am exhausted from this Holiday stuff already. I need my vacation NOW!!!
Annie, I booked the St. Maarten Sea & See Island tour and the St .Thomas Island tour as well. I love the view from St. Peter's Great House and wanted to share that with Char and Joe also. We will have plenty of time after the excursions for shopping and what not.
I just received an itinerary change from Continental Air....our departure is an hour later and the return is an hour later also. Boo hoo....to that, but I was especially shocked to learn that since I purchased the tickets last April......the fare has gone up $565.00. The smartest decision I ever made! Sure hope the weather cooperates.
Why does the weekend zoom by so quickly!:( another day gone....but another day closer to The Magic.;)

Good Morning Fellow Cruisers!

Our boys are very unhappy! They want their pictures on the Internet, too. A.J. (short for Almond Joy) and Rolo are two male
Burmese who basically run the house. Do we call them DC's (Disney Cats)?

Well, here they are!!!

http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/disneyguy928/lst?.dir=/My+Photos/Da+Boys&.view=t

Rolo is my cat. A.J. is very much the DW's cat. When we picked them out at the breeder it was the other way around, but the cats chose us, of course. I have better pictures on Kodak picture disks that I will add later.

I am still negotiating with the DW to get a picture of us/her on the web.

Laura, we haven't booked any excursions yet, but we'll do it soon. Like I said earlier, the Regatta at St. Martin is high on the priority list.

Andi......
The more the merrier. It sure sounds like you will be the veteran cruiser of this band of jolly Disney Souls. The days are slowly ticking away. Hope you can join us for the sail away greet & meet?
Gary, I am so envious of yours and Chrissy's photo posting talents. I am so inept at those types of things. I did request a digital camera from Santa this year, but I know I told you all before....I am dangerous with new cameras, so I am worried it will self destruct in my hands the moment I touch it.;) So the Mrs. is a little photo shy huh? Did you happen to purchase her a SEP hat also?
Hey Annie......how's the weather up there? I hope you are not "frozen" in time, wouldn't want the ship to leave you behind you know.;)
Happy day to all.

(Gary in pirate mode. It's gonna happen a lot!)
Shiver me timbers!!! Another crew member comin' aboard!!! :teeth: Just don't forget the crackers for me parrot and mind me peg leg and eye patch! AHRRRRR!!!!

Glad to could join us, Andi!!! We'll expect to hear from you often now that Sail Away Day (SAD) is so close. I love the abbreviation thing. I was a big fan of the space program as a kid, which is when I REALLY got hooked on the abbreviation thing!;)

Our pictures from Disney for MVMCP arrived yesterday and I have spousal approval to post them. That will happen tonight. No, she doesn't have a SEP hat. YET!!!

Gotta go. Have a Disney Day!!!

P.S. I booked the Regatta at St. Martin!!!! YO HO, YO HO, the Pirate's life for me!!! I be a real Pirate of the Carribean, matey!!!

hi guys!!!! TXSFRTHEWRMWELCUM GAR!!(hows that for abbreviations) as my kid would say..."your a trip" i heard the regatta was a blast ..... you actually race against another boat and you have to do the work yourself.very cool!!i myself prefer landlubber activities..EX.lying at an 80 degree angle,in 80degree weather toes in carribean blue water ,,,corona in my left hand..juicy novel in myright.. but ill wave to ya as you go byyyyyyyy......must go start my wrapping now...CYALATR!!!!!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:
