Thax jbix00 for the KeyWest Map link. It's the best map I've seen yet. Can't wait to get to KeyWest, it's one of my favorite places. I think that we've got more stops in KeyWest planned than we have time, but we'll try. Trying to get by by listin' to radio margaritaville.
Not actually packing yet, but have several times in my mind! Tanktops and flip-flops!

Packing yet?? Well YES!! It's below zero this am so anything having to do with above freezing temps is already in the suitcase!!


Only 7 more nights of work left before we head south(that sounds better than counting days--smaller #)

Make sure your camera/flash batteries are ok. Went to take a picture of DD6 this morning (first time since Christmas) and all batteries were dead! Glad I found out now instead of two weeks from now!

Lara's (DD7) summer clothes are all piled in her room and I'm taking out her suitcase later today! I always pack her things first - it gives me a chance to estimate how much space I have for bringing home items and whether my extra junk can fit in her bag!

Absolutely freezing today here in "The Great White North". Happy Countdown, everyone - I've gotta daydream about being warm

yep!!! most of my clothes are piled high in my bedroom as well - needed to sort through to figure out what I needed to purchase. It is difficult to be working with 2 diffent seasons worth of clothes at once, but well worth it!! We are very, very cold here in NY today as well, thank goodness the wind has calmed down and the sun is shining. I just keep thinking 75 degrees and 12 days to go. The last week will certianly fly by as I have 3 different appts. that week - you know - all the fun girly stuff - manicure, pedicure, haircut. Guess I should spend some time today for packing because it is back to work tomorrow. Looking forward to meeting everybody on Sunday in Promenade Lounge. Bye for now.

I've got my haircut lined up for tomorrow afternoon. I was toying with the idea of a manicure. I work with my hands a bunch though so there isn't always anything to manicure.

I've got the suitcases out and have already packed the shorts and sandals. Won't be needing those around here after all.

We are dealing with some family issues that have me pretty stressed out, so I will be that much more ready to relax.

Hard to believe we are almost to single digits in the countdown. I thought it would never get there!

mamagriz -- my nails are not great for a manicure either but it just makes you feel so good; I only seem to do a manicure when I head out for vacations once a year is it!!! I joined the world of pedicures a few years ago and that is just wonderful. I pretty much have made up my mind to have one about every 4-5 months.

I am watching the Daytonna 500 and just keep thinking - Florida, Florida, Florida. I am so ready!!

Thanks. I've been reading the posts on the cruise. Only found out about this site yesterday. Have enjoyed reading the tips and hints.

Any special hints anyone has for first timers?

phew....they are predicting anything from a dusting on up to 6 inches of snow starting tonight (depending on the track of the coastal storm). This cruise looks better and better everyday! Come on now you people up north...give me a break...you probably rolled your eyes when I mention that "little" amount of snow...but to Southern Maryland, that's a good amount to close schools for a couple days! South of the Mason-Dixon line, any amount close to 6 inches paralyzes the area for a day or 2.



Everyone who knows the words join in - "...Wasted away again in Margaritaville...searchin for my lost shaker of salt....". Key West in 12 days...seeing the sites, sipping the margaritas....

I hear you jbix00!! I'm in Richmond, VA and they are calling for a dusting to 4+ inches. If we get 4 inches, I can guarantee my daughter will be out of school for 2 days. Just what she needs right before I pull her out of school for the week. I'm already getting the evil eye from her teacher!!

Although I'm from "The Great White North", I never laugh at what anyone else considers a lot of snow. It sucks wherever it falls


Each region has a limit of what they're equipped to handle as far as snow goes. I remember being in Vancouver once and having the airport closed for 3 inches of snow. (This right after Toronto had 36 inches over a two-day period!)
